Post by Alexey Uralets »

Yo - i saw dis guy vs Yannick and all his previous fights - i tink he is a sumfin special.

Anyway want 2 see him against my friends Ben (McCulloch) and Rohan (Murdock) in future. Also against Michael Bolling

he was very impressive for a novice. he reminds me of some current english guns.

however, like mundine, carr is from a boxing family and would have been throwing jabs and hanging round gyms since he could walk. so he isnt just starting out, he is almost the finished product, just like anthony was. mundine never improved much. carr probably wont either.

when someone takes up boxing like fenech did in their mid/late teens and scores impressive wins, you know they have a lot of improvement in them. but when they have been round boxing all their lives, and have been exposed to good training and sparring, they are already close to their potential when they reach adulthood.

WTF are you talking about, Sally? Jake was a big name in the amateures.

I would just like to see someone fight Ben McCulloch, for me the best Super middle in Australia outside of Bika.

Carr, has heart and has an opportunity to build upon that very, very impressive 5th fight. Boasts a stoppage win in the AM's over Hooper, who obviously beat Carr in the return, so we watching something a little special here, will need the money behind him to get fighters in the ring.

Dawg, I think Carr's last performance surpasses McCullock (no disrespect to Ben McCullock), Serge Yannick, even though it was a close descision, means that Ben McCulloch has to beat Jake to be the best super middle in Australia, in fact, if you want debate semantics (no, I'm not actually looking for an arguement) then Ben had to beat Serge to be best super middle in Australia.

Mate, no arguments here. jake earn't that title, and have nothing but respect for Yannick, it's a solid scalp. I'm refering to the talent, McCulloch for me has the power, defence and is a silky slick boxer to boot.
I would love nothing more than for some of these super Middles to get in the ring with him and prove me wrong, it's clear as day, that since he put a beating on Shiack and Flanagan, no one wanted any part of him. he's getting on and if i was a promoter i would pick him up and throw the cash to get the stepping stones needed to get him in the right direction.

On Carr, wow, 5th fight, what else is there to say, but will it hurt him with future oponents.

Very good win for Carr over Yannick this early in his career.
