News from Germany: Beyer injured,Urkal vs Collazo
WBC Champion Super Middle, Markus Beyer, has to pass a Meniscus surgery, his fight in December is cancelled.
Oktay Urkal, European Champion Welter, got his 4th chance to fight for a world title. He will face Luis Collazo for the WBA World Championship. Don King won the purse bid. So the venue is open. It is rumuored that it will take place in Germany (January?) because of the higher interest.

If Urkal could bring up the same performance as he did in the Tszyu-fight and the first Harris-fight he should have a good chance. He is a good and fair sportsman with a big heart and IMO he deserves to be champion finally. My T Sharp wrote:What's Collazo like? Boxrec rankings haven't got him in a high regard, do you think that the experience of Urkal will give him the edge?

The main event event was of course Markus. He is the only German Champion at the moment! I haven´t heard that Arthur would box Ikeke. Where do you have this from?Freiheit wrote:The main event for the december 10th card is Arthur Abraham vs Kingsley Ikeke.
It has also been mentioned that Wladimir Klitschko might fight Henry Akinwande the Ruiz vs Valuev undercard.
Regarding Akinwande I have heard that he should fight Holy.
IMO Wladi won´t fight on the undercard. They would make an own K2 show what brings 10,000 people.

Only seen him once and that was versus a faded Gonzalez, he picks his punches well and looks sharp but again what has he been fighting? It's hard to tell.My T Sharp wrote:What's Collazo like?
