I have no objection, albeit I and Lamphey referred to some actual sources which witnessed that no European title was at stake, but the tradition roots also in the myth. Navigating furtherly, I observed that Digger Stanley's career record lacks of the match Newcastle, 19 November 1904 versus Sid Wilmott. As well known, this bout has been re-classified as British Empire match in 1998 British Boxing Board of Control Yearbook. I would be curious in watching whether a probable compiler should accept that re-settlement or not, while adding that bout. How many British or Commonwealth people accept the new bouts added as BE championships ?
