Manc 28th Sept
Still no word of a undercard. I'm not overly worried as there is 6 weeks to go however what concerns me is the quality. You can't plan a fight with 6 weeks to go, title wise. I'm sure you fill a card with chit full of mediocre guys who have less than decent records. It really looks to me that there isnt really going to be any 'titles' on offer apart from Charr. Also I'm beginning to think that there will be only 8 fights on the bill and not much to shout about. I'm sure most of us who are going are only really interested in the main fight, but its a worry that nothing is happening. I just hope the fight does not get cancelled as im sick of losing money on live fights. This will be another fight that you will lose your booking fee on and ive got 2 tickets each having £12-50 booking fees.
I'm not sure if im worrying about nothing, I know Eubank jr is in training and he has said he will be on the bill, but im sure he would have an opponent by now? Along with Charr, 6 weeks to go and no one to fight?

Correct me if am I mistaken but the majority of Eubank Jr's opponents have been named last min and it would be easier for him to get another half decent (on paper) scalp ......There was a post on here not to long back regards him facing Blackwell who is also in training with a Sept date listed .......???
Not that to much should be read into that as its a hometown date for Blackwell and im sure it would affect his following should he end up changing it for a show in manc !
Re: Manc 28th Sept
Andy Lee is on there too and Hughie Fury, but not sure if Hughie's opponent will be as good as McPhilbin as it is only 2 weeks after.
Re: Manc 28th Sept
Will any of the undercard fighter be allocated tickets too?

I think what you have to remember is often when a fight is finally announced both fighters will usually have known the fights gonna happen 2 weeks+ in advance. I think we all know that Quigg v Salinas is going to be on the card, and have done for a while, but it still hasn't been announced officially because both teams are still finalising everything on the contract. I'm sure Quigg and Salinas will be in training as we speak.mimmy123 wrote:Still no word of a undercard. I'm not overly worried as there is 6 weeks to go however what concerns me is the quality. Re: Manc 28th Sept
Hughie is fighting earlier in the month, so might not be on the card, his matches are getting slightly better so injury, cuts or anything could prevent a matchup with anyone half decent. I was hoping he would have fought A Harrison but will not happen if he fights some 3 weeks earlier, not a chance. If Fury does make an appearance it will be with a no hoper given the time between fights, but im not hopeful Hughie will be on the card if he does go ahead with the fight on the 7thWelshJack wrote:Andy Lee is on there too and Hughie Fury, but not sure if Hughie's opponent will be as good as McPhilbin as it is only 2 weeks after.

Precisely.
Mimmy he is fighting 14th at Magna Rotherham on the Channel 5 show Barry aka Kid Galahad top of the bill.
Good on him if he takes another 14 days later.
Mick will be happy.

Still expecting Quigg tittle fight on this bill along with Lee in a tittle fight of sorts, charr and then the prospects.

Re: Manc 28th Sept
I cant see it happening 14 days later, this kid who he is fighting has fought for a world title and other titles, sure at cruiserweight but will be no mug. Its Hughies toughest fight to date and taking another 14 days later is a bit daft unless he secures a ko in the first or second without blowing his gut.Parson Cross wrote:Precisely.

Its unlikely Hughie will be on the 28th as he will not have contracted another fight. Who is going to fight Hughie on 14 days notice? Unless he has an opponent picked and prepared to pay him off if he suffers a injury on the 14th.

McPhilbin didn't fight for a world title? Did he?mimmy123 wrote:I cant see it happening 14 days later, this kid who he is fighting has fought for a world title and other titles, sure at cruiserweight but will be no mug. Re: Manc 28th Sept
I would guess Hughie would be on the card, probably over 4 or 6 rounds, I doubt fighting 2 weeks earlier will put him off.

Mcphilbin hasn't been above British level, let alone world title shots
