He is and Del would ruin him, but at least he has a fairly high ranking in the European scene and an undefeated record for the casuals. I don't think it will be another big fight at this short notice.

Towers is more of an opponent for Price. Chisora should be aiming higher.

In spite of the Fury farce, Del Boy's way above domestic level now.

I've seen him fight a few times and he'd put Delboy to sleep inside 5 rounds.

Kevin Johnson has been saying he's in late negotiations to fight Chisora, now he's confirmed it on his twitter. :(

Johnson's never been in a top fight in his life. He turns every fight to sh1t that fornicating arsehole.

Why? He was losing against Scott until that ending. Can't see him ever beating the loser of Wlad-Povetekin or Haye-Fury.

Most people's cards had it 3-2 Scott at the end of the 5th, and Chisora was clearly winning the 6th handily before catching Scott. I think he would have caught up with Scott in any event, who showed against Glazkov a tendency to fade late.

I agree, though, that he hasn't got enough to win at world level - but European level should be within his grasp. He was robbed against Helenius after all, who was a decent European champ.

The difference is Del has already been knocked out. He's a limited plodder, going nowhere.

He gets loads of credit for going the distance with two injured fighters (Helenius and Klitschko), gets a pass for the Fury fight because he was out of shape and was behind on points when he managed to 'stop' an unhurt Scott.

The stoppage was crap, yes, but Scott was hurt! He said as much in the post-fight interview, referring to Chisora's right hand as an 'equilibrium punch'.

Totally agree. If they bring in Kirk Johnson it will be laughable. The guy is ancient and was washed up years go. His capitulation against Wlad was embarrassing. I've just looked his record up, he's had one fight in the past seven years..... and that was over 3 years ago. This is SHOCKING match making, the guy is retired, they're just digging up a dead body. Why not go the whole hog and give Joe Bugner a call ?! Really hope this doesn't come off.

That doesn't tell the full story though, does it?

Audley knocked him out in the last round, with a somewhat fortuitous punch. And there were many who thought Audley had it lost if he hadn't have knocked him out too.

Obviously, I'm not saying Sprott lays the smack down on Chisora. Chisora should win. But for an opponent at short-ish notice, Sprott has experience and would give Del Boy a decent fight before eventually losing.

Isn't that the sort of opponent Del is looking for at the moment?

He's beaten some decent opposition and is being moved along at the right speed. Yes he's limited, but he's got geniune world class power, which is something Chisora will never have. Chisora's got next to no movement, limited power and only trains we he feels like it. Mago would eat him alive.

Chisora has faced some of the best heavyweights in the world, he has shown that his limitations don't stop him competing at a high level. Abdusalamov hasn't shown that he can do anything against a top fighter yet.
