Has Barker injured his back?

Post by TheLeprechaun »

Heard a few rumours. Was going to back him to win but not if he's injured. It's not a fight he would back out of if he had an injury at this stage, such is the opportunity. Geale isn't a big puncher and I think Barker can control the fight being the taller and harder puncher of the two. Question mark about his fitness though... I presume if he is going through with the fight he thinks he can still win though.

Source ?????

If he's fit then I see him winning. Would hate to see him go in less than 100 %.
Then again I suppose all boxers enter the ring with slight niggles.
Let's hope it doesn't end up a Nicky Cook v Ricky Burns situation and he gets embarrassed.

He should retire if that's the case as his injury situation is becoming pretty farcical now.

In this month's BM he states he has "the hips of a 60 year-old". It's fair to say he has a few injury issues.

There'd only be 3 active boxers left in the world if it was down to you

How is Barkers situation the same as most active boxers? Of course all boxers get injuries but Barker seems to be constantly injured! Also it will be a nice fitting excuse for some people if he loses against Geale. Geale wont get any credit and it will be "oh well he was injured"

Barker would get the credit for "having a good crack at it".
