Yes, you have defended the WBA championship three times on the bounce now, so you get to keep it... And for the reminder of the season, you will be able to unify the WBA title every week that you hold it. (Just like the IBF).

Does Charles have control of the WBO belt now?

No. Charles won the WBO title in Week 14... He has successfully defended it twice in a row (weeks 15 & 16)... He only needs one win to be able to unify it.

I'll post the tunney fight tonight.....please forgive...dont' think I ran it.

I will then post the ratings. And if Bivins is top 14 he gets the first shot.

and Loughran next.......that will be the "line of refusal" for this week.

IF we both make it through next week......Tommy will toss his belts, and will ask Ezz to do the same, and For Lonsdale Pride Tommy will Face Ezzard Charles. We will not force Ezz to toss his trinkets...but it's the right thing to do. If forced to, Gibbons will accept the fight for Lonsdale, WBC and WBO. We do not force others to act with honor.

We consider Gibbons WBA and IBF "emeritus forever". Why? Because it sounds good to us.


We understand that we have to get through this week first.....and we are not going to look past Bivins. He is rested from fighting bums.....and Gibbons has been showing some wear. We need to buckle down. and focus on the next fight in front of us. Thinking two fights ahead can be deadly.
