My father - Danny Iannarelli - was Scottish Eastern District Heavyweight Champion 1959-60 and, earlier, Army (Egypt) Champion in the late '40s.
He fought initially (as a youngster) out of the "Leith Persevere" club, then moving to "Leith Victoria" and ultimately "Sparta"
As a youngster, he fought at Welterweight, moving up to Middle, Light-Heavy and eventually Heavyweight. Yes, that's quite a chain of transitions!
I'm looking for more information about any/all his fights in the 1940s/1950s/early 1960s.
Of course, if anyone has any pics of him fighting, movie film, newspaper cuttings etc... I'd be very interested to hear from you.
