Finally we might see some new world heavyweight champions

Post by chad »

SKY have reported today that Vitali Klitschko has pulled out of his his mandatory title defence against Bermane Stiverne because of injury. Klitschko has an injury to his right hand and it means he is likely to go through 2013 without fighting. The WBC's board of governors will now meet to discuss the situation and Klitschko could be stripped of his world title.

With Wladimir facing Povetkin in the coming months, which will result in the regular WBA title becoming free, it looks very likely that 2 world title belts will become vacant by the end of this year.

Who will be the 4 fighters maneuvered into place to fight for the titles? The winner of Haye Vs. Fury? Deontay Wilder? Bermane Stiverne? Seth Mitchell?

Povetkin's title is not a real one so you can discount that.

If Haye beats Fury, you could see Stiverne v Haye for the WBC title? Although, Pulev's stock will rocket should he KO Thompson next week.

You could see Haye having a good little run with the title if he gets his hands on it. Haye v Mitchell, Adamek, Charr - you'd expect Haye to win all those.

On the other side of that, if Fury pulls off the victory against Haye ... Twitter watch out!

Vitali needs to step down he's been declining for years and it is in the interests of boxing and his legacy as a great champion that he go now.

Haye v Stiverne looks like it'll be nothing less than "Explosive"
