Cleverly v Kovalev
Is anyone coming from outside of Wales to see Cleverly prove the doubters wrong?

Maybe you could make another thread on that.Spiker wrote:Nah up in London we all think Cleverly is gonna get sparkedWelshJack wrote:Is anyone coming from outside of Wales to see Cleverly prove the doubters wrong?
Give it a very slightly different name to the other 4 or so threads on this subject that Welshjack has made in the last 10 days and then you're good to go.

Re: Cleverly v Kovalev
Its a great fight, but not the sort of event I have to be at. I live in York and its a hell of a mission to Cardiff. Did it for JC-Kessler though and will do it again for Nathan if he gets in a fight of that magnitude. Would have travelled about as far as Manchester or Liverpool for this.

It will be good to see you again.
If there are any other Boxrec members attending the show then they are also more than welcome to pop round for a chat. I am the best looking guy in press row, not hard to spot .....

Re: Cleverly v Kovalev
One thing you can say about Cleverly is that he won't duck fighters. Shame more of our British fighters don't have his attitude.

I'm assuming that you are laying the blame for the fights with his promoters which is why i'm asking who of the current crop of fighters are avoiding fighters?TopGun wrote:One thing you can say about Cleverly is that he won't duck fighters. Re: Cleverly v Kovalev
I wish him the best of luck but I fully expect him to lose.
That's being honest may he use the negativity and the roar of the crowd to spur him on to victory.
I just dont forsee him doing it .

Enough said.
Re: Cleverly v Kovalev
I'm not laughing mate safe to say I witnessed something incredible tonight.
Re: Cleverly v Kovalev
Yes it was incredible I wouldn't be rubbing the salt in if Cleverly had been a bit less cocky in the build up and even entering the ring. I always find myself supporting the other fighter when the opponent is cocky no matter where they come from. Sorry for my outburst above but it was in jubilation after clev saying it was going to be A one sided Lacey like beating.WelshJack wrote:I'm not laughing mate safe to say I witnessed something incredible tonight.

Re: Cleverly v Kovalev
Cleverly looked absolutely ludicrous prefight.
None of his behaviour suggested confidence, it showed a dangerous level of self-delusion.
No one should be surprised how badly he was massacred given his total lack of opposition beforehand and his embarrassing overconfidence when facing the deadly Kovalev.
A Prescott/Khan type showing from NC.

I thought you'd be surprised given that you earlier claimed that this had Lacy-Calzaghe written all over it, with Cleverly being Calzaghe.loaded_gloves wrote:Cleverly looked absolutely ludicrous prefight.
