Its best Frankie had his crisis early on, though. Imagine if he had it after he got himself into the mandatory position and then had to make his pull outs then? Also, whilst Frankie was going through unimaginable things in his private life, wasn't Kell fighting in pub toilets? And how should I know how much he got for Jones 2? You said he isn't prepared to take a paycut so I presume you really think around 200,000. Maybe knock a 0 off, mate. I have a sneaky feeling you are a fanboy and not an insider as even the insiders are not happy with the way he lives(similar to how Frankie USED to).

Yep. He's out asking questions.........

But if you want to pretend that his promoter didn't pull him out of purse bids for the English title fight with him fair enough. You can also imagine him not pulling out of Beijing and not pulling out of fights with Witter, Jason Cook and Frank Horta.JamesH wrote:

Every time you've knocked Frankie, you've looked a tit, but still you persist. You are a gift that keeps on giving, cheers
Frankie has turned himself around - why do you want to go over this old stuff.
Good luck to Frankie. He's talented but I just don't rate him as highly as some on here. He'll claim the Lonsdale belt next month and then celebrate his 28th birthday.
P.S. Hope Adnan enjoyed his 30th back in Feb

And there are people on here that call Khans' career a wash out.Pugilist-specialist wrote:James, you're going over old ground and it's boring. I haven't said that he's avoiding Adnan. Re: Frankie gavin vs Bradley pryce
Yes there are, there is no exclusivity on being a muppet. Amir Khan can and should be extremely proud of what he has achieved in boxing. I just think people are far too quick to knock stand-out amateurs when they have turned over. The fact is that whatever age Frankie is and whatever you think of him as a fighter, I don't think you can deny he is improving in the pro game. He is about to claim the Lonsdale for keeps and then onto the next chapter. We'll see what happens there and we'll probably differ in our predictions, but to dismiss his achievements and ignore the fact his biggest fights are yet to come, is just, in my opinion, muppet-ish.palooka wrote:And there are people on here that call Khans' career a wash out.Pugilist-specialist wrote:James, you're going over old ground and it's boring. You clearly had something to get off your chest Mickey. Pugilists last post before your one above actually praised Frankie. Just seemed a forced in dig really.mickey1975 wrote:Don't need to defend Frankie, he is doing ok as he is. I think Brook's career has gone unbelievably stale over the past year or so. He still hasn't actually beaten anyone and the persistent rumours about his lifestyle, his withdrawals and inability to make weight must concern even his most ardent fans. I know they do his team. Brook won his Lonsdale in 2008 and appears no closer now to winning a genuine World title. Do you call that progress?DMA1987 wrote:Is pulling Brook down the only way you can defend Frankie?mickey1975 wrote:Lets hope five years after claiming the Lonsdale belt he is not having rematches with Journeymen on debutants undercards and that the Lonsdale is still the peak of his career. As for any closer, he is the mandatory challenger for Alexander, so he will get his shot soon enough.
Re: Frankie gavin vs Bradley pryce
Brook won't be fighting Alexander until April/May if he's lucky.DMA1987 wrote:You clearly had something to get off your chest Mickey. Re: Frankie gavin vs Bradley pryce
That weren't a big dig at Frankie Gavin just that people are so quick to disregard accomplishments; Khan has done fantastic and is still around the same age as both Kell and Frankie; he is set for life financially and has been a World Champion (and Olympic Silver medalist) a couple of times. To hear some on here he is just the worst ever, to hear others Brook is the worst ever, some others think Frankie is.... I am disappointed that Frankie is not boxing a bigger name next as he did fantastic v Vassell last time out - he has grown into a big and strong welter who hits hard, he'll be a handful for anyone outside the top men.
