I assume your post is to assert that Vasquez avoided Burns for a business decision.

Who is to say that Burns' offer was not deliberately low so Vasquez would turn it down and look the 'bad' guy?

NOTE: I am not suggesting in any way that was the case but merely suggesting that Burns may still have 'ducked' Vasquez.

That's the good ol' IBF for you.

You hammer someone and a couple of fights later, they get instilled again !

I don't think either fighter avoided the other, just pointing it out to those who claim he ducked Vazquez. The offer will have had nothing to do with Burns, that's on Alex Morrison and more likely allegedly. It may well have been a decent offer but not enough for Vazquez to travel and risk his title away from home. As for Diaz, how beating Martin Gethin makes you mandatory challenger to a fighter who took you apart is beyond me.

“I was supposed to fight Ricky Burns in March. The reason I didn’t was because his promoters made me an offer that I wasn’t going to accept and to travel overseas. It was said that I didn’t fight because I was ill, truthfully it was a business decision,” Vasquez said.

The truth is out there :TU:
