I really hope the telecast allows us in Australia to see the Brunker v Oliver bout. After Mikes extremely close decision to dib recently this should show where Brunker fits in the scheme of things. I can see Joel having a big win.

Yeah I would be annoyed, I'm paying to see my fellow Australians fight.

Heart says Barker, but head has to go with Geale late stoppage or comfortable points win.
Geale's been there and got the t-shirt.

Gotta agree mate. I think Barker will come out very aggressive, but Geale to wear him down and pull away on the cards of possibly stoppage between rounds 10 - 12.

I'm feeling a surprise stoppage, Geale trys for the knockout in every fight, most just can't keep up and retreat. Sturm was on the verge until round 9 saw him get on his bike, trading with a high guard didn't work Daniel busted him up.

I don't see either taking a backward step, hence a stopage at some point.

Read a article here on Boxrec, as they only post on articles on british boxing, intereresting in the thought that they believe if Barker wins it will create some Eubank, Benn era, with Barker fighting and defending against the other elite middleweights in "Murray and Macklin?". Shocked was i to read such BS, that Geales and barkers carear are on par and Geales only notable win was against Sturm?

Who has Barker Beat....can someone please explain? Dominic spada? gave martinez a good fight, so is everyone atm? beat fellow over hyped country men, if we to go off boxrec's rating system, he hasn't beaten a top 20 opponent yet with Larry sharpe 22-4 with 195 points on boxrecs rating system

Geale so far:

Karmazin
Adama
Sylvester ( In Germany)
Sturm ( In Germany)
Mundine

Barker hasn't beaten any one of that calibre yet.

Geales less than notable wins, but as good as Barkers best results.

Dawson 29-0-0
Ajetovic 16-1-0
Albert 24-4-0

Look forward to this.

Brit in peace here guys. Have to say I scored it 114-113 to Barker. The British commentators were biased to our guy and had him like 4 points ahead or something like that which was daft so I disagreed with them in my scoring. I thought it may go to Geale as he is the champ and we often see champions favoured by a point or two in the scores sometimes.

Great fight. I scored it very close. I couldnt argue either way. 116-111. Seems way to wide though.

Gutted. Good fight though, a rematch definitely needs to happen.

I'd be pretty stoked if Geale got the rematch. He would have taken away a bit from this fight.

Both of these guys need to stay the fvck away from GGG, though.

fans would pay for it, so unless barker's team is allergic to money, its a no brainer imo.

I had Barker winning by two points, but I wouldn't have had issues with a win for Geale. It was one of those fights in which there were many rounds that were tough to score.

I thought Geale had it when Barker was down; it seemed to me like he was going to be counted out. I suspect Barker's first defense will be against someone like Andy Lee, but I'd like to see a rematch.
