In Larry Holmes'book an Ali sparringpartner named Jaybar Brown is mentioned. Does anyone have an idea who he is?

I like the book. It's very straightforward; Holmes doesn't want to come off as the greatest fighter that ever lived. It also has plenty of very funny/insightful behind-the-scenes stories, for example on how life was at Dear Lake where Ali's training camp used to be.

I think it should be CJ Bar Brown - he fought a few B/C grade Heavies

His name has been altered (or incorrectly/correctly put in) as

CJ Bar Bar Brown

(Compare Scott Frank, Dino Dennis, Marty Monroe)

CJ BAR BROWN WAS A CLUB FIGHTING NEW YORK HEAVYWEIGHT WHO SERVED AS A SPARRING PARTNER FOR SEVERAL PROMINENT HEAVIES OF THE LATE SEVENTIES AND EARLY EIGHTIES.
