Nice photos. Are those the punches in that final flurry?
Duce is correct in that London slowly backed up of his own accord into the corner. With London in the corner Ali came in and launched that flurry.
It looked impressive as hell and I am able to see one long overhand right that clearly landed high on London's head or side of the head. Maybe that is the one that did it. It was one of the final punches.
I'm just asking an honest question as on the old film I saw I just can't see how many punches landed. Some clearly were "all flash but no cash".
All of Ali's fights were fixed. Every single one.
Oliver Stone is directing a movie that will prove it.
In it he will depict how:
Kennedy was murdered 3 months before Ali won the title.
The assassination was carried out to keep the president from revealing to the world that the upcoming Liston fight was fixed.
Stone will also prove that:
Marilyn Monroe was also taken out in 1962 because she knew old man Archie Moore was going to throw the Clay fight in November.
The film premieres on Feb. 25 2014, fittingly the 50th anniversary of Liston tanking in his corner against Ali.
I believe Brian London has been invited to the premiere. For the first time he will confess holding back on his punches against Ali so as not to knock out the champion.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, Senor PiPi.
It is an honest question about that flurry that put London down. The film I've looked at is quite grainy and I can't tell much. I do think quite a few of the punches were flashy but harmless.
In looking at those photos, I'm pretty confident they must be earlier in the fight and not the final flurry.
London was backed up fully in the corner and those photos look farther out in the ring.

Hey Yance----
Didn't Stone invite you to speak at the film premiere? I hear you 2 are old buddies.
And don't forget to bring along your "Myth Machine." Just make sure it's plugged in.

Lie. Boxing Illustrated published two seperate articles in the month and weeks before London's bout with Ali both dedicated specifically to London. Ring Magazine published a report on his bout against Amos Johnson by a european correspondent which called it his best performance in years.
Why don't you geeks just read Facing Ali or watch one of the many interviews with Brian London where he admits he was simply outclassed and got out of there rather than get hurt?
All you sad freaks ever do is spend all day, every single day, writing about Muhammad Ali - who you also apparently hate. Look over your own incessant activity from the last month. Two grown men living their lives on a boxing forum, posting incessantly, twisting facts, making up stories, trying to besmirch Muhammad Ali in threads read by a handful of people and that will soon vanish into obscurity. This is your hobby? This?
You seem like old men. Why don't you go outdoors and enjoy life? It's fornicating pathetic that any time I check in here the forum is riddled with posts by Duce and Yancy babbling on about a man who achieved fame and greatness while you two social outcasts clatter away on the keyboard.

Was "Facing Ali" a book? By London?
Does London really say he "got out of there rather than get hurt"?

The Londoners still insist that it was a 'Set Up Fight' to get Brian London $112,000, and give Muhammad Ali
an easy 'pay-day' of $290,000.
Brian really didn't train that hard, and really didn't put in any effort in the Ring that night.
What Londoners? Why dont you quit throwing out these fake quotes with no sources and name some names. Just like the secret interview you published over at ESB where Ali admitted he couldnt beat Norton that you were forced to admit you made up.

Harold 'Super Mac' MacMillan,,,,,,,,,,,,British Sports Writer
Brian London has no fight plan, and has no intention of getting hurt either. There seems little worry at
the Blackpudlian's Training Camp at Pontin's Holiday Camp in trying to put together some sort of
tactical plan for the expected result at Earl's Court next week.
Even the locals here are saying that this will be the 'Easiest Take Ever Seen in England'.
The sparring partners for the 32 year-old Challenger are under strict orders to not throw any
punches, and just stay stationary for Brian to hit them at will.
The fear is, that Brian may get cut of suffer a rib injury, disturbing his chance at the $112,000
in 'The Great London Gold Rush'.
This nonsence seems to have been cobbled together by a semi-literate buffoon from the following article he googled.
It appears this fellow who has been talking down to us cannot even read and seems to think the British Prime Minister Harold MacMillan was a sports journo.
For a man whose head had just been used as a punching bag, Brian London had an odd way of describing Cassius Clay. "He isn't a puncher," said London. "He just hit me so many times I didn't know where I was." This way please for the champ's next opponent, and mind those combinations.
London's wife, Veronica, a chirpy, buxom blonde, held a somewhat different view of the heavyweight champion's power right from the start. A boxing fan, she not only thinks Clay is a great fighter but said as much before the bout. "I don't mind if he beats my husband," she told a reporter, "as long as he leaves me a little bit."
Lancashire, where they invented a dish called hotpot, and Blackpool, London's home town and the county's rambunctious seaside resort where they boast about the number of colored lights in the streets, are used to such forth-rightness. Assess your chances, natives believe, and come out with it, blunt like. No pussyfooting around the facts.
The facts of the second defense of his world title in England in little over two months by Muhammad Ali Cassius Clay (MACC, as one British sports-writer dubbed him, harking back to Harold Macmillan, who was known snidely as Supermac) were, to quote London, "unique." They added up, judging by prefight predictions, to the neatest grab since England's celebrated train robbery: London's take was estimated at $112,000.
But what did Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden make of Muhammad Ali? Did Neville Chamberlain ever proffer an opinion on Clay's punch power?
What's amazing about Mussolini's endless uncited and unverified news reports is that all the reporters from all around the globe seem to write in the exact same style as old Ducey.
It's clearly a full and rewarding life you have Duce, living on BOTP and writing about Muhammad Ali all day and all night. Does anyone remember the madness of Granberry? Why do these posters with such passionate and personal hatred of Ali also seem to be paranoid schizophrenics?

Evening Star of what? Date, etc. Still no pertinent information. Ive read your posts at EastSide when you were Senor Pepe (after being banned for lying, and then banned as Pepe for lying again) and now you seem to be doing it once more on a forum populated by people who actually care about the facts. Dont come here with made up quotes and fake news stories in order to further your agenda.

Great way to duck the question. Just keep on redirecting like you always do when you are caught in a lie. Only this time you are trying to dodge getting caught in a lie by telling another lie.
Nobody was secretly keeping London out of the ring to protect his standing. They didnt need to. The British promoters made it clear they wanted Ali to fight in the UK again and the only heavyweight who would draw there against him after Coopers loss was London. Essentially if Ali was going to fight a Brit in Britain London was a lock. Initially Ali refused to fight London on the grounds that he did not think London would draw anywhere else outside of Britain (which would hurt his take of the ancillary rights). The fact that they let London fight Spencer and Johnson before they ever had Ali's signature proves they werent trying to hide him away and protect him. In fact they were eager to match him with those international fighters in order to build up his appeal. It worked. As Ive stated before his match with Johnson was televised nationally and written up very favorably. London had done a lot to redeem his image with that one fight. After the positive press and recognition that London got Ali finally agreed to the match in late June or early July. It was only monday morning quarterbacking that said it was a bad match afterwards because London didnt show well. But big deal. He was one of Ali's lower rung contenders. Like I said before, plenty of fighters have taken a gimme. Ali took less than most. So quit coming on here with your fake quotes and conspiracy theories based on absolute nonsense.
I cant speak to why he turned down fights with Jones and Machen (if indeed he did) but there was bad blood between London and Chuvalo from 1961 when Chuvalo walked out on a fight with London at the last minute. London was pissed off and wanted to reschedule for as soon as possible but Chuvalo refused. London felt Chuvalo was running from him and refused to ever let him make a dime on him.
