Me and my wife both agreed after watching several hours of fight tapes, that we would wager £1000 at odds of 3/1 Tyson Fury beats David Haye 28th September. Our reasons for the wager are that everything is in Tyson Fury's favor. Height, Weight, Reach, Age, record, ability, aggression, power, speed... i feel that David Haye is vastly overrated as is his punch-power & speed. Haye has a very suspect record at Heavyweight and defeated both John Ruiz & Monte Barrett with "Rabbit Punches" otherwise he would not have been victorious in those fights. Haye i feel was clearly out-pointed by both Wlad Klitschko & Nicolay Valuev and his fight against Audley Harrison was farcical. which leaves the 34yr old Haye with lots to prove on 28th September. Tyson Fury on the other hand has looked a very good and exciting world rated contender in his last 4 fights. Fury's knockdown against Steve Cunningham was due to him standing square-on and on one foot as the punch landed. Legendary trainer Emmanuel Stewart trained Fury in the Kronk gym 2yrs ago and claimed, "Fury will be Heavyweight Champion of the World" Stewart also said, "There is nothing wrong with Tyson Fury's Chin, he takes a great punch"..Tyson Fury put on a great exhibition of skilled boxing to defeat world rated Kevin Johnson then his demolition of Cunningham has left us thinking, "We Cannot Lose" all genuine and sensible views welcome please!

You're forgetting he's been put over by a fairly light punching cruiserweight - his chin ain't great by a long shot.

It's a farcial match, Haye holds all the aces - punch, guile, brains, speed and experience. He'll absolutely pulverize the big lump. Possibly inside a round. 8)

I can only applaud your balls for sticking a grand down on the underdog. I'm in the 'Haye should obliterate him' club at the moment but I can see Fury's size causing a degree of problems for him and that's what makes this fight interesting. If both were the same size it would be a terrible mismatch as Haye trumps him in almost every category.

You should have just given the £1000 to charity. Or at least put the grand on Fury by stoppage if you think he's going to win so much, as his only chance (slim) is to stick around long enough to lean on Haye, wear him out and stop him from exhaustion.

I feel like Tyson might last till the sixth due to him being more cautious than normal and also possibly being able to rise from a knockdown or two. I hope I'm wrong though as I have Haye 1-3 and 1-6 in all my live accumulators.

The interesting thing is in all likelihood Haye will put Fury over with a single shot which will give Tyson at least a chance to get up and get back into the fight, whereas if his chin had been marginally better I could see him taking more than one while upright and getting stopped instantly by Haye's finishing barrage.

Taking your analysis in to account:

Age - Haye's not old, especially in HW terms and is physically much better (and has probably lived a healthier life in all) and more experience
Record - Haye's wins easily at the mo
Ability - Haye is a more natural athlete and skilled fighter and tactically more efficient
Aggression - could be Tyson's downfall
Power - Haye wins easily
Speed - ditto

Cunningham has about half the power of Haye and Haye loves that overhand right. That's the punch that has put Fury down twice now. But best of luck! I don't see the fight as 100% Haye but no way on God's earth would I wager a grand

You should have put half on a Fury win and half on haye to win by KO in the first 4 rounds.

Personally I think Haye wins this whenever wants. His peed and power will be far too much. Haye is a great finisher let`s not forget. We have seen Fury in trouble in about 3 or 4 fights to much lesser opposition. Haye will moider him.

You're first mistake is getting caught up on size, skill negates size if you have enough of it, and Haye has way to much skill and speed for Tyson. If they were the same size Fury would be a 20/1 underdog instead of just 3, but then again, he never would have got this far career wise.
