Matthysse/Randall.

Interesting match. Randall's resume at the weight is better (win over JCC and two over Coggi), but Matthysse is quite formidable. What happens?

Hmmmm. Still not convinced about Matthysse. He obviously can bang quite hard, but harder than a somewhat past his peak Chavez? Maybe, but no question Chavez had all-around better tools than the Argentine. If Randall could survive 19 rounds with Julio than he'd probably hold up against Matthyse and use superior speed and technique to earn a close decision.

Fair points, though I think Matthysse hits harder than Chavez. (I'm not saying he's a better fighter, just that his shots do more damage; I feel the same about Jackson, whom I don't consider a better fighter than JCC, either.)

Punch for punch, I would think both Jackson and Matthyse had more pure power than Chavez. But they wouldn't beat him.
And Julio hit hard enough. When Randall was asked after the first fight if Chavez ever hurt him, he replied "Only when he hit me."

I agree Matthysse wouldn't have beaten JCC.
Jackson wouldn't have P4P but would have had they fought, as he was a very good jr. middle. He was too big for JCC.
