Mitchell/Corley.
Mitchell/Corley.
Who'd have won this battle of jr. welter titlists? Sharmba by decision for me. These two were around at the same time; surprised this one didn't happen.

I go with Mitchell
Re: Mitchell/Corley.
I gotta give the edge to Mitchell, I think Corley has a slight edge in punching power, but he rarely shows the ability to finish top level guys when he hurts them, and I doubt he'd be able to finish Sharmba either.
I think Sharmba's overall the superior boxer here and that would win the fight for him.

I agree with this assessment. I always like Corley`s subtle skill, which still shows itself in fights to this day but Mitchell was the more skilled of the two and like you, I see him winning here. Maybe 8-4 or 7-5 UD.gilgamesh wrote:I gotta give the edge to Mitchell, I think Corley has a slight edge in punching power, but he rarely shows the ability to finish top level guys when he hurts them, and I doubt he'd be able to finish Sharmba either.

Yeah I do believe Corley would be able to make a competitive fight of it. Your scores sound about right.Jpreisser wrote:I agree with this assessment.
