Slight update coming from his twitter. Apparantly a 'friend' has used his name. Seems a bit far fetched to me but we'll see.

Giving false names to the police isn't for when you've been arrested. They'd to know everything about him, where he was born, address etc. They'd be able to work out before they charged someone that they were using a false name.

Yeah, the BBC link says there was a 7 month investigation. They will have found out more than just the names of people who they believe to be involved before making any arrests.

Scumbag if true.

the magistrates will look at that for 5 minutes, before sending it to Crown court.

40 people - one million quid. That's an average of 25 grand a head. Quite a scam :o

He will be outcast faster than Anthony Small if true.
Crimes of any sort against the old and or vulnerable are up there with noncing.
Darren Barker will need to distance himself from Purdy rapid he is rightly enjoying his raise in profile and the press love to build you and drag you into shit.I think Darren will be the first to chin him if its true.

Columbo your right he is a completecunt if its true.

If true what a pudendum. Nothing worse than scamming elderly/valnuerable people. I hope the weight draining took so much out of him that the Alexandra fight causes serious damage

I`d say bumming elderly people could be seen as worse than scamming them.

Fair play. Consensual buggery of the elderly, although rancid and filthy, is not as bad as scamming them.

Exactly. forcefraser should have been more clear and referred to it as bumrape rather than bumming. He didnt say anything about bumrape.

He's been charged though so there must be something to it. Noone knows 100 % but you dont normally get charged unless there is some evidence there.

Thousands of people are charged every year and later found innocent. The phrase 'no smoke without fire' is not always true.

I was on jury duty once with someone who shared that logic. He was convinced there had to be more evidence than what was presented in the actual case.
