On the ESPN television broadcast they gave Spain's record when he fought Tyson as 7-0 (5) - both on the graphic and verbally, with Al Bernstein and his commentary partner discussing his record.
He is listed as 1-0 (1) here with his first listed bout against Steven Allred on 12-20-84. There is also a footnote under the listing for this bout which says that it was "Spain's first fight in three years" - seeming to acknowledge a prior record but not including it.
Why?
