Basing my statement on Froch's brother trying to sell the last few on Twitter and them going for below face value on the secondary market. Froch-Kessler, Haye-Harrison and Haye-Fury are examples of a true sell out.
Floyd Mayweather vs Robert Guerrero had almost a 1,000 empty seats in an arena smaller than the 02 London.

I think the UK is in fine form with regards fans actually going to the live event, and your always going to get a few dog end tickets at the £40 mark row Z that nobody wants.

There have only been a couple recently that have struggled to sell 4,000 venues.
I know I am being picky, but that is my point. Total sell outs are very rare. You wont even get a row z seat for Haye-Fury for less than £100. Same with Froch-Kessler. The Germans do well with live gates but at Klitschko-Haye there was a good ten thousand spare seats. Never got the feeling that fight was as big there as it was here. They didn't ever seem taken in by David.

Says who ?
Kessler said himself after the Joe loss that he was injury free and got beat fair a square , go watch the dvd of the fight , dont make me post a video of his post fight interview !
I'm not looking to win or lose an argument.

I'm stating a bona fide fact. His hand was crunched and he had it numbed before the fight. Hence Calzaghe taking as long as he could to get to the ring. The fact Kessler was even throwing it in the first few rounds was more than many expected.

I knew it was broken a fortnight beforehand when Darren Barker was sent home because his hand was that bad he couldn't even hit the pads, let alone do some rounds. Kessler is a class act and didn't want to take anything away from the loss. He was paid a lot more money NOT to withdraw and so that was his decision and he has to live with that until he calls it a day.

What makes me chuckle is the great lengths goes for Calzaghe to go to, to tell everyone how Kessler was his greatest victory etc etc. That he 'fought him in his prime' to discredit anyone else who might beat him, when the truth is he didn't. Throw in the fact his manager was on life support in a Cardiff hospital the week of the fight following a heart attack, and it was the worst week you could possibly imagine for the guy - and still he pushed him.

If anyone knows any more little gems like this post them up. I live abroad and miss most of this stuff these days, unless of course someone posts a link on this site :D

It was a classic bit at the end when Nelson pointed out the number of fights they had all had combined. I can't remember the number but I creased up when Collins stood up and went to shake Jones's hand and said 'lets make it 601' and just added one to the number Nelson had said (rather than two.) Obviously not the brightest button in the haberdashery.

Where did the myth of Kessler having a broken hand coming into the Calzaghe fight originate from?
Because Kessler himself has denied it was true.
