Who sanctioned the "BBBoC" British heavyweight bouts 1910-26

As the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) wasn't founded until 1929, who was it that sanctioned the twenty-four "BBBoC" British heavyweight title bouts from 1910 to 1926? Was it the National Sporting Club's, even though only one of these bouts took place at their premises in Covent Garden?

The NSC. Boxers were allowed to fight at venues other than the one at Covent Garden.

Thanks for the prompt response. Would you know whether Jewey Smith considered a British heavyweight boxing champion? As I have seen lists where he is omitted. Regards

I would guess that all hinges on his bout with Iron Hauge in Feb 1910. I've got a pile of those yearbooks next to me and they don't suggest that he was, so I think the answer is no.
