Ruslan Provodnikov v. Miguel Angel Gonzalez at 140

Post by Vladimir5555 »

A tough call for me.Gonzalez at 140 losses by Oscar De La Hoya by decision and loss by stoppage against Tszyu, and as he fought off a draw against JCC.Who would win in a fight?I take Gonzales by a close decision in a very impeesive fight.

Miguel by decision.

At his best, MAGO was a very classy fighter with a pretty good punch and great chin. Used Chavez' head for a dartboard but the judges in Mexico couldn't vote against the Legend and called it a draw.
The Russian can give anyone an uncomfortable night but Gonzalez would outbox him and have no problem penetrating RP's leaky defense.
The Mexican wins a clear decision.

Gonzalez didn't really do much at 140; that Chavez was well past it. I'd probably take him close on points, but he didn't show power at the high level, either at that weight.
