For example, there is a Denmark show this weekend, being televised all over Europe, featuring Patrick Nielsen in the main event. BN televised his previous fight, also in Denmark. It doesn't mean sending in a TV crew to film something that otherwise wasn't being filmed, it means buying the rights and putting it on your dedicated boxing channel which you call "the home of boxing".
Its been several weeks between live shows on BN, which is poor. Just because there aren't any UK shows worthy of broadcast doesn't mean the channel can't pick up overseas shows. The shows are there....
Nielsen is not most riveting fighter to watch in terms of talent I dont believe. Maybe they dont believe he's worth the output.
Maybe not but surely "live boxing" is the overriding criteria ? Well actually it obviously isn't, otherwise they'd do it so maybe you're right. Nielsen was good enough for the channel in March, and tomorrow he's in a better (on paper) fight. Your channel will sink into oblivion if you don't keep up regular live boxing. That is the sole reason people subscribe. I get the impression that many BN staff are wxxking off at all the Mayweather / Canelo programming, but I'm happy enough to basically just wait for the fight. The programming is ultimately just hype to sell a PPV, it is interesting but if its a substitute for actual live boxing, that's poor service to its subscription base.
Boxing News and Boxing Monthly experience the same barren patch times of year, they seem to work a bit harder in finding good content. BN has had a big gap in its schedule but I see they're still taking a tenner off everyone for the month of August.....

The PPV of Mayweather v Alvarez is almost $100 in the US - that's nearly £75, 7 months of allegedly. I'd sooner watch that than Nielson, hands down; it is the biggest bout of the year and not picked up by SKY (who have far deeper pockets). How long has allegedly been going? How long has SKY Sports, how long has Boxing News, Boxing Monthly? I'd love a live card every Friday or Saturday but if it can't be provided I'm not going to throw my dummy out; if you are not happy with it, watch a stream.

So say there was a major major PPV every 3 months costing $100 (£65.00) and that was all BN showed (along with a few weak domestic offerings) you would be happy?
If it isn't constantly keeping up and buying the content then its not much of a boxing channel.

I'd not be happy with that but it doesn't have to buy up every bit of boxing that is around to be a boxing channel. I'd sooner they didn't have a Danish card and have a Vegas one.

Who would owe allegedly Promotions money? His fights are put on BN so you wouldn't think so unless its the scenario put above. I can't think any apart from that.
Just another failed FW promotional company it looks like. How many is that now?
Think it was mentioned above, it will probably be another one of his companies, allows him to shift money around and legally cut down the amount of tax he pays.

Youre saying that like allegedly has adopted this model.
Anyone who doesn't think they've had their moneys worth from allegedly this year is either a fool or a tight bastard.
One quiet month and the channel gets criticism. Not on

spot on. when the channel is going well, its the best thing since sliced bread, they're having a shit month and boxing fans can have a moan on boxrec
as for the argument about the cost of floyd mayweather's ppv show in america, that's a crap argument - if it was costing twice as much would you be happy to not see any other live action until around november ?
allegedly is meant to be "the home of boxing" and they're not showing any.

If there's no boxing to show what can you do? VVarren can put his own shows on, but if they're going to be of a quality that stops people moaning about them being shite, he can't put on a show every week because he doesn't have enough fighters to do so.

Instead of everybody moaning why not unsubscribe if I was bunny I could stand a lot of moaning if punters were still throwing money at me lol

I don't think it is an argument - more a point; the Mayweather bout is the biggest of the year, other boxing fans will have to pay a lot of money to watch, 'we' get it for no extra cost. In September there's the Mayweather card and the Saunders v Ryder bout, off the top of my head. There's not 52 cards a year worth televising in my opinion and too much boxing is as bad as not enough. I'm happy to pay for allegedly as SKY Sports has gone down hill with their coverage. As long as I get to see the competitive bouts I'm happy; if an obscure bout has people buzzing I'll try and watch online otherwise it takes over the week.

I'm am looking forward to Matthyse v Garcia.. looking on the negative side (as I enjoy doing) it will probably get stopped early when someone gets a cut the size of a vagina... and Floyd makes Alvarez look like he is on a YTS for the day.

How many people do you think will watch live in uk?

Not sure, but the stream I usually use went dodgy for the Hatton-Senchenko fight and it wasn't great for Price-Thompson recently. Whether the telly gets set up or not, I won't be counted in any official figures.
The situation isn't helped with FW's obvious conflicts as both a promoter and a broadcaster.
A simple solution, in my mind, to the 'not enough action' debate would be to link up with some of the better quality small-hall promoters - Steve Goodwin is the first that springs to mind. If BN did a deal with him, you could have regular cards on a Friday night, showing Area/English level fighters at traditional venues such as York Hall. Maybe not the highest quality, but entertaining and exciting scraps. This could then be supplemented with larger Queensbury shows and international action on a Saturday.
Of course, this scenario is unlikely to happen whilst FW is promoting - he is not wanting to give rivals a leg up.
P.S I know BN show 'Box Academy', but I don't think that's particularly regular?

I think that would be a good idea actuallu. Regarding the Goodwin's I mean.
