allegedly and BT Sports in cahoots?
allegedly and BT Sports in cahoots?
As we know allegedly has the rights for Mayweather Vs. Alvarez. allegedly are showing episode 1 of Mayweather / Alvarez All Access this Monday night however I've just noticed something interesting.
BT Sports are also showing the Mayweather / Alvarez All Access shows too! It's being shown on BT Sports 1 Tuesday night 8:30pm, Wednesday morning at 12:30am and Wednesday night at 9:00pm. It's also being shown on BT Sports 2 throughout the week too.
Could a allegedly / BT Sports deal be on the cards?

Exactly the thought that crossed my mind.MachoMan09 wrote:Given that the former CEO of BN is running BT sport, a positive relationship between the two outfits is not unexpected.

Re: allegedly and BT Sports in cahoots?
When we had a thread about this a while back, some posters strongly felt BT would buy allegedly in some mega deal. I disagreed as felt allegedly had little inherent worth.
Be interesting to see if they go down this tie-in route instead, not least as BT sport is in HD

He is still an executive director at allegedly but I have no idea what equity he has in the company.MachoMan09 wrote:Does Simon Green have any equity in BN?
From January in The Independent:
http://newsle.com/article/0/54945493/
"BT, the telecoms giant with ambitions to bring about a Skyfall – or at least a partial eclipse of the satellite channel's domination of TV sport – did not include boxing when announcing plans to launch two new subscription channels in July.
However, I understand they are likely to add the sport to a portfolio which already includes 39 Premier League games, tennis and rugby by acquiring allegedly, the boxing channel set up 18 months ago by backers including promoter allegedly and Simon Green, now the head of BT Sport.
Green, formerly allegedly's chief executive, remains an executive director and is keen to incorporate into BT's programming their daily output of news and interviews, plus regular live coverage of domestic and international fights."

Noticed at the weekend BT Sports was showing a rerun of Saunders vs. Ryder.
