Lewis by Late KO or UD. As long as Lewis weathers the storm early and gets Mike into the later rounds, he wins. Briggs had Lewis flopping around early, then got outboxed badly after. Briggs had faster hands and was bigger than mike and could not do it.

lewis would win. survive the first 3 rounds and than pick tyson appart with his jab n reach. tyson would have his moments coming in rushing and landing quick hooks, btu lewis would hold and than punish tyson again with 1+2 combos. tyson would land beautiful body shots left hooks, but would not be enough to smother lewis. tough fight. tyson would have a ko chance a la rahman, but ultimatly, if i had to put money on would be lewis.

Briggs had a poor stamina, asthma and seemingly a poor chin in those early days. Tyson outboxed Tucker easily enough. The peak version had excellent skills. It would take Lewis at his peak to pull off the win. Average Lewis wouldn't get there.

Think Tyson would of walked through him Lewis is a tremendous athlete but he never had the durability & toughness of the guys who took Tyson to points when Lewis got backed up he pawed & only speared the jab once in control I don't think he'd of gained control as tysons footwork was so fast as was his head movements ask jimmy greaves

There was certainly a glimpse of how hard Lewis would find containing a fired up Tyson in round 1 of their fight. Still I have to feel Lewis would have made it through. The perception that Lewis wasn't durable is unfounded. He could hold a shot.

Prime Tyson would blow Lewis away; I never saw Prime Tyson, but if he half as good as some people says he was there was no way he would lose to Lewis.

I have seen Mike Tyson fight a lot. I think Lewis would probably have beat him if they each were at their best. It would have been a great fight.

If Lennox survive the onslaught of the starting Mike,he has a chance to win the fight in the later rounds. But I think that it would not happen,Mike KO by early rounds

Lewis did not have so strong jaw, what would withstand the impact of such a puncher like Mike. That's why I think that Mike would have knocked Lewis early in the fight.

To my knowledge Tyson has never said he would have beaten him when he was younger. Its true that young Tyson never fought anyone as big and as good.

Lewis took the punches of Briggs, Mercer, Klitschko... not bad for a guy supposedly chinny. Tyson always had trouble with fighters with decent jabs, Green, Tillis, Tucker, etc... if Lewis employed basically the same stragedy that he used when he fought a faded Tyson I see him winning by decision or late stoppage/ko/disq :box:

Where do you get the idea of Briggs having a poor chin? As far as I can see it, he's always he's had an above average chin, though not in the league of Mercer or McCall. Lewis put Briggs away because he was a very big puncher while Briggs had porous defense - seriously, watch the fight, Lewis hardly misses a power punch. Of course, Vitali beat an old, faded Briggs and landed even more punches, but he has never had anything like the power of Lewis, or of his brother.

I must say that several years ago someone else tongue and cheek mentioned something about Mike Tyson not being as good as "Prime Tyson". It really cracked me up. I wish I could remember who said it. Not sure if they are still visit this Forum anymore.

It seems that you see the word "Prime" before Tyson's name more often than you see Mike. :D

It's amazing that only 23, when he fought Razor, he was regarded to have lost 'it.'
