Ward, Broner, Gamboa, Hopkins fighting in the UK

All these guys have been linked with potential Super fights in the UK. After watching the Burns decision I am pretty much sure everyone one of these fights are dead in the water. Ward was reluctant to begin with, no chance now, get your passport out froch. And if you thing goldenboy are letting Broner anywhere near a Hearn show in the UK your having a laugh. I seriously thing this decision will have lost the UK some huge fights.

lets be honest, if goldenboy were to bring any of they fighters to the uk they would protect themselves big time. They are too used to pulling tricks themselves to fall victim to dodgy decisions in the uk. They would have rematch clauses written in, they would negotiate every little detail including some of the officials, ring sizes, purses. you name it they would cover it to minimise any risks whatsoever.

So lets not get carried away here, if any of they fighters were ever gonna come to fight in the uk then that decision in the Burns fight isnt gonna change it. If they even say it does then they are using it as an excuse to get more things in their favour.

They named fighters are in more of a position to negotiate deals therefore be protected from poor decisions etc better than Beltran has or ever will be.

I find this shocking yes Beltran won but it was a close fight!! People are acting like its the worst thing ever.. Judges see fights from different angles and score what the see. A home crowd influences judges in close rounds, I had Beltran by 1 or 2 rounds but said to my brothers going into the last that if Burns wins it that it will be a draw!! Boom that's what happened. Got to feel sorry on Beltran but he didn't put the fight to bed and win as clear as you need to away from home. A rematch won't happen I think Burns is out for a While and will come back at Light Welter

Really though, how often do big American names at the peak of their powers fight here? Site fees, the effect of the time difference on ppv, sponsorship levels - regardless of judging concerns, there is very little incentive for them to fight in Britain, no matter what lip service they pay on the subject. From BoxRec's top 25 p4p Americans I think 3 - Judah, Thompson and Bradley - have fought here. You could argue that none were top names when they came here.
