The only Judge that had Burns winning was the American you fecking idiot. Maybe you should apply with the Nevada state rather than the BBBOC.

Read some of his other posts, the boy is an idiot. if a tongue in cheek comment was in order surely it should have been directed to the American judge. The irony is Beltran said he wanted the rematch in USA, going on last nights scoring and having 3 USA judges he would have lost by some margin.

That doesnt automatically mean he's going to support Beltran though.

Although ive seen Beltran a few times before and i knew he was tough,i thought he was tailor made for Burns and that Ricky would win a fairly comfy decision and that Ricky would put on a clinic to impress the American audience but it seems he,ll be seen as a bigger joke than before which is a shame because the man showed unbelievable toughness fighting 11 rounds with a broken jaw

I didn't say it did. It's interesting though isn't it, the way some judges score fights, and let's be honest if Ortiz was British a lot of people would be openly accusing him of corruption or bias, but in this instance the judge is American. Why do you think he scored the fight the way he did?

I dont know. Boxing *ignoring this situation* is shady full stop IMO. Someone was saying in another thread how quite often it's the promoters of shows who pay for the hotel's, etc for the officials. Surely that shouldnt be happening either.

Who should pay them though? If the governing bodies were to pay them, they'd increase the sanctioning fees and the officials would still, in effect be paid by the promoter, just with the money passing through different hands.

It should be the sanctioning bodies who pay them! You shouldnt have the promoter basically supporting the officials which is going to lead to corruption basically. The sanctioning bodies should stop being such greedy bastards.

The sanctioning bodies money comes from the promoter, so they would still be paid by the promoter, just not directly.

The sanctioning bodies money comes from both fighters though, not just the promoters fighter. Whereas the promoter is directly paying for the hotel, etc of the officials.

I just read that he was born in Queens, New York city so im assuming that probably is the case as you have a very large Puero rican community in NYC by all accounts. More so than Mexicans.

i had it even on rounds with the 10-8 giving it to Beltran by a point. Even though it was close, it's hard to see what kind of card gives it to Burns. Beltran won 6 rounds very clearly, with a knock down. The 6 rounds i gave burns included some close rounds like 11 & 12 which could have went to Beltran. I find a wider score for Beltran acceptable but any card that doesn't have Raymundo the victor is questionable imo.

Heard on Twitter Burns had a steel plate fitted - if that's true i wish him all the best, his career may well be over (hell i dont think even Victor Ortiz has it in him to fight again after breaking his jaw) - and well even though i thought Ricky lost he showed the heart of a lion to get through that fight last night, his pain was obvious and took some true grit.
