Yeah, and I don't think Floyd can hurt him like he did Hatton.gilgamesh wrote:I don't think he'll go about it as sloppy as Hatton though. Arreola/Mitchell and undercard RBR.

Re: Arreola/Mitchell and undercard RBR.
Who? He'd almost been KO'd by Collazo in his only other fight at the weight, and Collazo wasn't a big puncher.DetroitHxC wrote:We have no evidence to suggest either way.
People thought Hatton had a granite chin before that fight too.
Re: Arreola/Mitchell and undercard RBR.
That was in a lower division. He was badly hurt and almost stopped in his welter fight prior to Floyd.DetroitHxC wrote:Idk, maybe the people that watched him walk through Kostya Tszyu.

That I agree with.DetroitHxC wrote:That win alone was bigger than anything Canelo has done thus far.
Re: Arreola/Mitchell and undercard RBR.
I don't think 154 Floyd hits much harder than Trout. I'd be shocked at a Floyd stoppage. I wasn't at all surprised at the Hatton stoppage given the Collazo fight.DetroitHxC wrote:Collazo has underrated power as well.
Hatton got caught because of his bad fundmentals, not his chin.
My point is that we don't know about Canelo's chin, I'm not gonna sit here and nitpick with you.
Re: Arreola/Mitchell and undercard RBR.
Probably so, but I just don't think he's a big hitter there --even less than at WW.DetroitHxC wrote:Floyd will find his chin MUCH more than Trout.

The Ortiz KO was...bizarre. (Note: I agree with the call; shouldn't have been an NC or anything like that.)DetroitHxC wrote:He doesn't have to be a big hitter to wear someone down with clean, effective punches. He hits hard enough to take Guerrero's will and jack his face up. He hits hard enough to knock Hatton out cold. He hits hard enough to knock out Victor Ortiz. He's not friggin Paulie Malignaggi FFS!
Re: Arreola/Mitchell and undercard RBR.
In another division, yes, but Hatton already showed that. I think that's true with most pros in a situation like Floyd-Ortiz; it doesn't indicate to me that Floyd's a big puncher especially at jr. middle.DetroitHxC wrote:Yeah, but it proves his punching strength is enough to put someone out of a fight if it lands cleanly.Rover wrote:The Ortiz KO was...bizarre. Re: Arreola/Mitchell and undercard RBR.
Mayweather ain't stopping Canelo. No chance.
He's not Paulie Malignaggi no, that's why he'll beat Canelo instead of lose to him...but he ain't knocking him out. If there's any chance at all he stops him it would be on cuts (and that's even a very slim chance), I don't expect that'll be the case either though. Floyd just doesn't hit guys enough to get stoppages most of the time.
Floyd's gonna win, I'm confident of that. He ain't knocking out sh*t though, he won't even come close to it.
