The Mugabi who fought Hagler would beat up Chavez.

JCC Jnr would get shredded by the beast that is Uganda's John Mugabi. It would be a late and compassionate stoppage.

Junior would have his moments.
Mugabi wasn't that fast and was hittable.
But his power would take a toll on the defensively-challenged Mexican.
Mugabi overpowers Chavez and the referee rescues a still standing, but badly battered Junior in the 9th round.

Mugubi by mid or late rd ko. Before he was ruined in the Hagler fight Mugubi was a formidable fighter, Chavez is just a weight drained WBC and Media created myth. Big and tough but little else.
Doubt Chavez jr would make any weight below 175 if he was fighting in 80s too, when middleweight really were Middleweights not magically drained light-heavies/Cruiserweights!...
