pre war unsung boxing legend!!

my great uncle TOMMY MARREN turned pro in 1927-1935 and endured 165 fights in 7 yr retireing with the FULL GOLD N SILVER JEM MACE BELT,as welterweight champ of north of england......after his 12hr days working down the mining pit,hapton valley,burnley lancashire. never making much money if any , 15 gruelling rounds sometimes.........JUST FOR FUN! WE still possess the belt.although being offered nearly 500,000 pound to sell to local museum TOWNELEY HALL many decades ago.....the answer was no,with no hesitation. if u wanna know more...or u have any pics/info id love to share he's amazing legacy......?not sure how he won the belt n got loads of things im sure i dont know...........but ive gt pics and all his bouts....including beating champ of s.africa, and beating the later to become champ of england plus many more amazing bouts!!!1927-1935,165 bouts 135 wins 10 draws 20 losses (approx)
