No it wasn't. It's completely incomparable.

How so? Saville was doing the charity work for his own selfish reasons.mickey1975 wrote:No it wasn't. It's completely incomparable.

I'm not sure you can compare Khan's slightly cynical approach to self-promotion with Savile's attempting to use his charitable activities to distract from several decades of sexual abuse, necrophilia, hanging out with Peter Sutcliffe and creepier shit on top of that. Unless you have a much wider definition of 'comparable' than me and everyone else who's sober at the momentcolumbo wrote:How so? The charity stuff wasn't really to distract, I would guess it was more for the opportunities it gave him.dookus wrote:I'm not sure you can compare Khan's slightly cynical approach to self-promotion with Savile's attempting to use his charitable activities to distract from several decades of sexual abuse, necrophilia, hanging out with Peter Sutcliffe and creepier poo on top of that. Well I wasnt saying that the nature of it was the same, purely that the motivations behind their actions were comparable from the fact that they wernt/arent doing out of the goodness of their hearts.dookus wrote:I'm not sure you can compare Khan's slightly cynical approach to self-promotion with Savile's attempting to use his charitable activities to distract from several decades of sexual abuse, necrophilia, hanging out with Peter Sutcliffe and creepier poo on top of that.
