Audley Harrison has talent. You don't win a gold medal by being a pleb.

Unfortunately, often times when he's in a ring he ranges from overly cautious, to flat out scared. He doesn't seem to like to fight, if he doesn't have a head guard and massive gloves on.

When Audley debuted on BBC, I really wanted him to go all the way. Unfortunately, his career has become a joke. Early knockouts to Price and Deontay Wilder have destroyed whatever credibility he left.

Audley is decent enough to knock out B-level fighters, and would probably win another Prizefighter if he entered.

Sadly, I can't see Audley sticking around and fighting for the English title, or doing the journeyman type fight against younger guys trying to gain experience. He genuinely seems to believe he has a world title in him, and he doesn't.

I still find it hard to believe that Audley is struggling to get a fight.... he is still one of the top 5 or so names in the UK scene and he still can create a buzz.... even if it is just people wanting (and now expecting) to see him getting KO'd and laughing at him.

Look how full the arena was for the Wilder fight, which was an undercard fight.

Audley in the past that he is prepared to step down a level or 2 (not that he was ever at the level he was fighting at). He did prizefighter and he did Ali Adams.

I don't know if he is pricing himself out of this situation, but most small hall promoters will know that if Audley was on the main event the hall would sell out, which is a bit of a problem in small hall shows (I'm talking general here not about specific promoters).

I definitely wouldn't pay to watch him the man has had plenty of chances and has proved that he is not up to the mark fact but I don't blame him for earning money while there are still deluded punters about Audley will keep taking them for a ride and best of luck to him he is just being clever coz after all mugs and their money are soon parted so fair play to him

I agree I thought tom looked ok briefly, he still got involved to quickly in trading haymakers. Lewison was always going to do that. If only he could keep people away with his jab!!

It goes without saying that Harrison should not box on. However, if he does, there would be a certain level of intrigue in seeing if he could get an unprecedented third Prizefighter trophy.

Otherwise, his only real way of getting solid work would be to do a Sprott and head to Germany. He could win some, lose some, get paid well and the German audience would be less critical of his cautious style.

If truth be told audleys time is up plain & simple!
World class am Domestic level pro & he's slipped.
I think down to his size stance & approach over 3 rds he WAS hard to get hold of for anyone & that's a talent.boxed great at Sydney & really enjoyed his journey & still remember it & like it.
I think even if he was to switchback he'd get laruped by Joshua who should be way behind him but in another 9 months audley is a opponent

Why doesn't he just fight some clubfighters low level in the states, away from all the pressure and cynicism of the British ring? Fight regularly and build himself back up into a pension payday?

Because they'll knock him out.
