Mayweather edgy
Floyd to me looked very very edgy at the weigh in yesterday almost reminded me of Hatton for the mayweather fight!!! He is clearly worried about Canelo, hence the catch weight, who looked cool as a cucumber & totally unruffled by Floyds antics with the belt. I fancy Mayweather will get the job done maybe by 2/3 rounds but we will finally see him in the fight we have wanted to see him in for years!! Still pisses me off about the weight tho & would've loved to have seen Alvarez come in at 154!!

Re: Mayweather edgy
I do always think if someone's fidgeting or chewing a lot during a staredown then they are nervous. Lets be honest tho staredowns mean absolutely nothing. Kosta Tszyu was the most unscary guy during a staredown but an unbelievable boxer.
Re: Mayweather edgy
I must of been watching a different weigh-in !
Mayweather looked his normal self, seemed to soak up the atmosphere and just play around a bit. His interview was cool and relaxed.
Canelo did look cool and calm, but was he hiding behind a fake smile or was that just the face of a gaunt man who looked very drained around the jaw ?

Re: Mayweather edgy
A staredown is not a boxing match; Floyd will be cooler than Canelo when the bout starts; I was surprised that Alvarez wasn't a lot bigger than Floyd - both looked in fantastic condition, strong and fit; this may be a cracker of a bout and one where Floyd has to work and think his arse off to win.
Garcia is a couple of inches taller than Lucas, both looked really composed and Angel Garcia seemed to enjoy the walk to the scales.

Yer Angel is a dick but I must admit he made me laugh yesterday ! He seems to be living his dreams through his sons hard work, the funny thing is Danny don't seem bothered, he don't even look or laughpalooka wrote:A staredown is not a boxing match; Floyd will be cooler than Canelo when the bout starts; I was surprised that Alvarez wasn't a lot bigger than Floyd - both looked in fantastic condition, strong and fit; this may be a cracker of a bout and one where Floyd has to work and think his arse off to win.

He certainly looked a bit hyper, he's either feeling the pressure or it's all that $$$$$$$$$$$ coming his way getting him all excited!

Re: Mayweather edgy
I expect the normal mayweather performance. Canelo doesn't really bring anything new.

Amazing what we each see. I agree mayweather looks his usual self, but i thought canelo's smile was holding back his excitement, didnt seem like nervsjessi wrote:I must of been watching a different weigh-in !

to me
Re: Mayweather edgy
He looked weight drained to me. I hope it doesnt affect his performance. It reminded me of what De la Hoya boxed Pacquaio and looked like a walking corpse. The only good thing for Canelo is that he was allowed to rehydrate to whatever he wants unlike Oscar.Parson Cross wrote:152 / 154 who cares.

Huh???
Re: Mayweather edgy
When Oscar boxed Manny there was a clause in his contract where he had to weigh in on the day of his fight at and not above a certain weight. Canelo hasnt got that to deal with.desperados wrote:columbo wrote:He looked weight drained to me. I hope it doesnt affect his performance. No there wasn't,
. Why the F would Oscar write that into his own contract? I doubt a comission would even sanctio na same-day weigh-in, they moved them to 24-hours for a reason. The only examples you'll find of recent same-day weigh ins, is when 1 fighter has the right to opt if out if the other guy failed to make weight. He can say 'ill wait and see what you weigh tomoorrow' - such was the case with Rios vs Murray.

Go find a fight where a same-day weigh-in has been contracted (and i'm not talking about when a fighter has missed weight). Or betetr yet, tell us where you go this info on DeLaHoya having a same-day weight stip. It's absurd, stop talking bullshit.

Re: Mayweather edgy
when your wrong your wrong, at least a pick is a prediction. Your the one claiming DeLaHoya wrote hismelf a contract in which he had an unheard of weight stip, a 2nd weigh-in on fight night - that's somethign factual, not a prediction.

You were so far off though it was laughable. It's funny how you go quiet on that now.desperados wrote:when your wrong your wrong, at least a pick is a prediction.
