When he was tagged few times by Cotto, Floyds reputation was only further enhanced. Imagine similar but against Golovkin.

Timothy is probably the best fighter around Floyd's weight that he hasn't already beaten.

It used to be Pacquiao, but too much dicking about has cost fight fans the chance of a superfight between those two.

Devon Alexander is also another possibility, but again, it's not a fight I'd be particularly excited about, but Alexander is another decent quality opponent that Floyd hasn't faced yet.

Agree that GGG is the only one of the current crop who would challenge him but it's a bit unfair to expect Floyd to make that at 160. He may be willing to do a 156/7 catch weight which GGG could easily get down to.

As for most likely opponent next, either Garcia or winner of Bradley v Marquez, all of whom he beats easily would be the favourites I'd have thought. The Pacman fight seems dead in the water and would be an easy win anyway.

I could see Floyd taking a fight with Khan in Sept next year if he beats Alexander (which is a big if). Very easy night's work and would sell out a football stadium.

Floyd Mayweather often gets stick for fighting at catchweights the recent example of the Alvarez coming down 2 pounds to 152lb.

When it come to fight night Floyd is usually the same weight as when he weighed in whereas his opponent will usually put on at least 10lb between the weigh in and the fight.

So my question is surely Floyd is the one is the one at a disadvantage as he fights at his natural weights whereas his opponent fight at a weight or two below there natural weight.

I think if you judge floyd by everyone else standards I.e Canelo is a lmw because that is the lowest weight he can boil down to then I would say floyd would be a lw. Floyd just chooses to fight at the weight he feels he is strongest at which is welter. It is a rarity these day for a fighter to fight at his actual in ring weight on the night

Its hard to be certain but I think Mayweather would have even beat Leonard at his best. As for Bradley and Khan is it worth making a fight with either of them? The result is obvious so would a fight with either make money?

There is no one 11st or under who has the skill set to be remotely competitive with PBF. The only way for him to be in a testing fight is to fight a big middleweight or heavier who could potentially walk through him.

There's no more cementing needed; Floyd is the very best of this era and that's it. He'd fit in with any time in boxing and I can imagine he'd have stopped more men if he boxed in the 15 round era; he wasn't out of breath after 12 rounds last nights.

Floyd has bad hands, no way would he have stopped more guys in the 15 round era. Competitive in any era, but don't see him beating Leonard, Hearns, or Duran.

There's no way a GGG fight will happen, his to good and dangerous, Floyd just won't go beyond 150lb and no one blames him. I hope I'm wrong
