Mayweather wont fight here. The reason is our UK tax laws. He could lose more money than he would earn. If he competes in the UK revenue and customs will demand a cut of his money from sponsors such as sportswear manufacturers and luxury products attached to his name. This is worked out by dividing the number of days a sportsman competes in the UK by the number of days he competes elsewhere.

As he only fights like twice a year. He would lose 50% of his total earning from his other fight as well as the fight against Amir Khan. It's not just 50% of his purse, but his total global endorsement income as well.

It's the same reason Usain Bolt wouldn't run here. The only reason he ran at the Olympic London games was because he was exempted from our tax rules.

Golfer Sergio Garcia has admitted in the past that he limits his appearances in the UK because of tax laws and Uefa admitted in 2008 that Wembley missed out on the 2010 Champions League final for this very reason.

They won't come to an arrangement for anyone, it was only done because it was the Olympics. He wouldn't sell 100,000 tickets either, for a start it would be difficult to get that many people into Wembley and people won't pay a few hundred quid to watch him.

With health and safety and fire regulations it would be difficult to fit 10,000 seats on the pitch, Hatton didn't manage it for the Lazcano fight. People won't pay thousands to watch Floyd Mayweather here, people did because it was Hatton and that was the only hope they had of getting a ticket after travelling to Las Vegas, very few people have that kind of money to spend. There's zero chance the cheap seats would be £50, £300 would be more likely. For Mayweather to come here he'd have to make more money than he does in Vegas and he won't do that selling tickets at £50 a pop.

You aren't selling seats in the gods in a 90k stadium for £300 plus. You make your money with the ringside and VIP seats and set the lower bowl seat prices accordingly. Haye-Fury and Froch-Groces are going close to 1k for ringside seats. Mayweather you could double that

Khan fight makes sense!! Mayweather is watched regardless & khan has quite an audience himself.khans speed will irritate mayweather & it will probably force floyd to shut khan down & knock him out.

They'd have to if the fight was to be financially viable here, Wembley at an average of £300 a head, which it would be, roughly, if some tickets were £50, makes around £27 million, converted to dollars, that's around $40 million, Mayweather would want far more to make up for the lack of a site fee and the cut in PPV money a fight over here would bring and the fact that Khan would have home advantage and those figures are assuming the fight sells out, which is doubtful already.
