One thing that did surprise me at the head to head is that Groves looked the taller man. I dont know if he was wearing some kind of cuban heels or something but it did seem that way anyway.

I find the man tedious, his overinflated opinion of himself very boring. and he never has anything nice to say about anyone except mcrakin.
I think a lot of people don't warm to him because he's too insistent on telling us how 'humble' he is, yet then goes on to refer to himself as a 'massive international superstar'. He deserves great credit, but it should come from others, not himself. He just makes himself look bitter that people still favour Calzaghe in the age old argument of who would come out on top. Most of all I don't think froch has the charisma, personality or likeability to get away with saying the things he does, he just sounds arrogant.

Yes, originally I was torn between these two in terms of who to support, but I might go with groves after what I saw on sky earlier.

Were you surprised like I was at all that Groves seemed the taller of the two?

He's just a complete wanker, bigs himself up because no one with any self respect would make the claims he does. I wouldn't even say he's a domestic superstar. He's the only fighter I'd want to see out cold and that's the only ending to the fight I'd be happy with.

I think it's bravado anyway. I dont think he's as confident as he tries to give off the impression he is.

This has got "wind up" written all over it which would be typical Booth and Groves (team Hayemaker).

Columbo, to be honest I thought groves was the taller man until I saw the stats come up on ssn, only to realize he should of been 1 and a half inches smaller, I met groves about 3 years ago and he seemed slightly shorter than me and I'm 6ft exactly, maybe I'm taller than I thought ! he has Definatley beefed out since then.

Exactly what I said. Team Hayemaker love to play psychological warfare and Booth is a guy who's very interested in psychology and particularily psychology of sport.

Did you notice at the head to head that Groves appeared taller though? Im not sure how accurate those stats are to be honest. Degale was listed as being taller than Groves aswell and he appeared to be an inch or half an inch shorter than George.

Im surprised that people have bought into this bollocks about George and Adam splitting. I can put money on the following scenario/s playing out. Booth wont be around for Groves camp, atleast in front of the camera's but will magically turn up on fight night or he wont be around at all for the fight but they'll have a reconcilliation after the fight and it will come out that Booth was behind the tactics for the fight and so on.

Oh sorry, yes 100% he looked taller today, maybe froch's feet are still hurting from all that dancing so had his shoes off

Don't matter if they split or not. Froch is gonna knock him out.

That's my prediction to. I dont think Groves has got the punch resistance to hang with Froch especially when Carl can take such a good shot himself. Anyway, it's an intriguing fight.

They won't risk him not being in the corner on fight night but will probably try and strong it out at long as they can.

The quote from Booth was simply "true" when asked about the split. You can just picture him saying it with a smirk on his face.

Did anyone see when sky put the subtitles up a few hours after it was on live ?

Basically froch was saying, "you know your not ready for me yet" and then said "you look worried" but he was whispering it and groves for a second swallowed and smiled it off

It's definietly a ploy to make Froch think he has an edge and going on the press conference he seems to be buying into it.

It's gonna be hyped as an intriguing fight, but it's a mismatch IMO. I think Froch will be able to take him out when he likes. It's not Haye-Harrison, but it's not far off.

George did look quite nervous to me actually. He was going very red in the face I thought.

This fight to me is very interesting in terms of how George will deal with Froch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDPw_DVQX6I .... Sierra is very rangy like Carl is and George really seemed to have trouble avoiding the jab I thought.

I strongly fancy Froch to stop Groves late,i think George is a great fighter and can beat Robert Stieglitz or Sakio Bika but not Carl yet

As for the so called split,i think its load of tosh really,Adam Booth doing what he does best, interesting that he feels the need to get into Froch,s head though considering he feels that Groves is ready to step in with the second best SMW in the world,i think they know the script

I would have loved to have seen the Cobra and the Dark Lord pit their wits against one another today,he would have had Carl well flustered i reckon

Also i thought Carl looked most nervous at stare down,he couldnt keep still and was always first to break eye contact and was first to walk away(maybe it was Georges breath again) :)
