Eubank jr is on 28th

Post by Mimmy »

Any ideas who he could be fighting? He has tweeted he will be fighting but I cannot see a UK based fighter taking him on in a meaningful fight having only fought last weekend. I'm guessing another boxer from Eastern Europe who has been in the gym ticking over for a journy fight.

I wouldnt be suprised to see Hughie on the bill to now after his 1 round fiasco

With 2 weeks left he has left it late to get anyone good, but Hughie has said for months he will be on the bill, but still hasn't got an opponent. Both will be fighting though.

I just saw his tweet.

Chris Eubank Jr ‏@ChrisEubankJr So im fighting again Sat Sep 28 live on Sky Sports. What colour shorts should I wear this time Black, Blue or Silver you decide #TeamEubank

Nice to see he's taking the fight seriously, isn't it? What colour shorts should he wear?

And people complain he's living off his celebrity name.

He doesn't hit hard enough to ask his twitter populace what round should he finish it in.

Though he could pass tweeted suggestions on to the ref. They seem very happy to oblige him.

He's just trying to get people involved. No need to criticise him for such an innocent question.

Maybe.

I just don't like this whole celebrity culture we live in. And I hate all this posing we get in boxing, where people spend ages walking to the ring, stand around trying to look tough after the fight etc...

I'm there to watch the boxing, not blokes having a pose. It seems a silly thing for a boxer to encourage his fans to care about.

He's trying to be a mainstream boxer, and that's what they do. I don't care for it either, but it doesn't bug me.

I’m no expert on technicalities but Jr seems to have good punch technique. It’s odd that he doesn’t punch harder…or that his shots don’t have more of an effect.

I disagree. I feel sometimes he doesn't get his full weight behind his right-hand and it's a bit of an "arm punch". I'll have to rewatch him in action but I remember thinking this a few times when seeing him fight.

Like I said I'm no expert. He seems to pivot well on the hooks...

He does land flush at times and the other guy seems to be able to keep going. That might hurt Jr as he moves up in calibre of opposition. Best if he works on his defence.
