Did Oscar know.

Post by TJ77 »

I have been thinking it was very strange Oscar choosing to put himself in rehab the week of the fight.
He has been public as someone who is struggling with addiction for ages.
So why seek help the week before your top boxers biggest fight??
The gulf between Alvarez and FMM was evident from round 1.
It strikes me that surely those in the know who were around Canelo in the run up to the fight must have had a clue he wasn't up to beating Floyd.
The speed and reactions just were'nt nearly a match.
He was well off the pace maybe Oscar saw this and couldn't face further embarrassment from Floyd.
So Oscar puts himself out of the picture and give a slight reason for Alvarez not being completely focused on the task.
Its a cynical view point and not one you could ever prove.
Am I alone in thinking this may have played out ?

Stranger things have happened for sure, going to rehab is as valid a reason as any to skip this if you wanted for whatever reason. Even rats abandon a sinking ship.

Perhaps he knew CJ Ross was going to score the way she did...few back handers and wanted to not show a guilty face?

Maybe he wasn't in rehab and was just finalising the infamous 'Blueprint' without distraction.

Dlh must know surely how good Canelo is & what it takes to beat mayweather or atleast what level you need to be at to challenge his o.
He pulled in the Mexican support like someone going for congress even president & sold them short for ppv basically & knew the outcome.

Rehab my arse he's getting ready for a Mayweather fight, he's breaking “the blueprint” from out the vault so someone from GBP can finally beat Floyd and shake off his demons.
