Scallum I am hoping your right because we haven't done good in a long time and from what I see we are way behind the top dawgs
Re: 2013 World Junior Championships
Also heard 3 boys from Team Usa were on wrong end of super , super suspect decisions in Quarterfinals costing team Usa of 3,more medals. Can't wait to see fights on YouTubeABC BOXING wrote:Scallum I am hoping your right because we haven't done good in a long time and from what I see we are way behind the top dawgs

Re: 2013 World Junior Championships
Like i have said many times favortizum is not good and scoring is really bad at some of the local shows i have been too really doesn't give credit when rounds are vary close or even given to the right fighter. same story like i told you before AIBA will be looking over their investment and you realy have to beat them completely to probably even get rds.
Re: 2013 World Junior Championships
The unfair decisions just makes our boys tougher and they will end up be much better in long run. A couple of boys were near tears at the unjust decisions. In one case I heard it was clearly a victory for team Usa but judges awarded 3-0 to other kid. i wonder are they ever gonna Award sum of The Major Tournaments near North America?ABC BOXING wrote:Like i have said many times favortizum is not good and scoring is really bad at some of the local shows i have been too really doesn't give credit when rounds are vary close or even given to the right fighter. same story like i told u before AIBA will be looking over their investment and you realy have to beat them completely to probably even get rds.

Re: 2013 World Junior Championships
The biggest problem the US faces for the next Olympics is the volume of boxers who turn professional.2012 might have been different if the likes of Frankie Gomez hadnt switched codes so early. However you cant blame young men who come from relative poverty supported by their family taking an opportunity to repay that support and have a more comfortable life.
As for 2016 Stevenson and Gonzalez could certainly be in the Olympic team as most of the boxers in the junior squad will be over seventeen.
Add to that the likes of Erickson Lubin,Gary Salazar,Nico Hernandez,Antonio Vargas and John Luna from the youths plus Leroy Davila,Cam Awesome and Shawn Simpson you have the makings of a good team for Brazil.
I could name other boxers I expect to figure prominently in the future but how many will still be Amateurs in 2016
