What Ali told Don King in the ring after the Foreman fight?( you know what I'm talking about )
Does anyone know for sure?
Someone asked me that, and I'd like to know the answer too.
Can anyone tell me....
Don King had a good rep back then. He promised big and he delivered big. Neither George nor Ali got shafted of their five million. The press and Zaire's bigwigs lapped Don King up in Zaire. He was a breath of fresh air at the time. Yes, it all turned pungent, but what I am trying to say is, that Ali would have only had good words for King after the fight.
A good rep? With who? Certainly not with the law, and certainly not with Lloyd Price, who King cheated royally. King went to Zaire because that's where the big money was for the fight. If anything, King's reputation back in those days was far shadier than it is today.bennie wrote:Don King had a good rep back then. He promised big and he delivered big. I have no idea what King said to anyone, but it probably had something to do with "I'm going to own you, fill my wallet with money you generate, and give you a pittance or make you take me to court to get your share".
