Wilmington Jack Daly - http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Human:10957

Fought under real name Cornelius Moriarity for a time early in his career, sometimes with middle initital either a J or T. As listed under his profile above he won the 125 championship for A.A.A.A.U. in Philadelphia.

Posted earlier in another thread but posted again due to dealing with tournament.

Sunday, February 14, 1892, Philadelphia Inquirer - Page: 5

The Inquirer had him listed as G. Moriarity.

Report 125 pound class for F.J. O'Neill A.C.S.N. KO1 Fred Myers Warren A.C.

In the same class Michael Dee, West Philadelphia A.C. and G. Moriarity, Warren A.C., proved well matched and valiant heroes of the sport, each showing a strong desire to annihilate his opponent. This, like the previuos bout, was a dandy, both men rushing until thoroughly tired. Suddenly, in a rally at the close of the third round, Moriarity swung for Dee, missed, and in an attempt to recover himself, swung wildly in the opposite direction. Dee's jaw was in line with the advancing glove and he went down like a ton of coal, Moriarity being countered the victor.

G. Moriarity, Warren A.C. boxed with Frank Burns for first prize in the 125-pound class, which the former won. Both Burns and O'Neill forfeited to M. Dee, W.P.A.C., who was given second prize.

The report in the Record touches on the O'Neill fight but seems to be Foul victory for Moriarity although some print obscured.

Reported in The State Newspaper 24/05/1892

Moriarity fought Frank Stevens on 23/05/1892 in Colombia, South Carolina @ the Independent Fire Engine Company hall.

Weight for fight reported at 135 pounds although fighting weight at 110 pounds, fighting with semi-hard gloves & about 150 people attended.

Paper states sparring exhibition for points only, 4 rounds. Moriarity (Daly) seems to have the best of it from reports.

A article announcing another fight for Moriarity against Patsy Raedy or Ready intimates Moriarity won fight but not sure how it would be categorised.

The Jimmy Lynch fight was on 15/11/1895. It was fought in Alexandria @ (Dan) Henry A.C. with an attendence of nearly 200 people. I have not found at reference to a 1892 fight
