Mendy battered from the first bell and knocked down I think 3 times. Smith was very measured and calm. He is a top, top prospect

Him and Groves down the line do you think? There's been talk of him and Buglioni going at it in the future but Smith seems miles above Frank in terms of talent.

They want him to start moving onto world rankings now. Mentioned possible British title fight between him and rocky fielding when Paul smith vacates

Says he will eventually vacate to let his brother fight for the title.

Yeah people, Do you see Smith beating Groves if they met? A little further down the line for Smith's development though!

Caught him with a right in less than a minute which he never recovered from and after taking a beating the ref stopped it with 4 sec remaining.

This result gives every fan reason to get over excited about this kid!
But a kid is exactly what he is & he will eventually need decent opposition flown in as you can't really learn at top level IMO.
Matchroom ain't never built a fighter I hope Callum's the first. People knock fw but he can build & nurture talent.

Wow!

Smith seems real!

As for Paul Smith, he is not World Class at all so he is vacating to win what?

Vacating so his lil bro doesn't kick his head in.

Crikey, calm down. Impressive from Smith but the stoppage was a tad premature for a title fight by Victor Loughlin. Mendy was on rubbery legs and woozy but he was trying to tie Callum up. The thing that most impressed me about Smith was his composure and his strength as he really bullied Mendy in there.

A good prospect for sure but I'm not getting carried away about Smith being handed a premature stoppage over a fighter who has always flattered to deceive, irrespective of his Prizefighter triumph.

It's a good result, he looked at least a division bigger than Mendy though - he has the physical advantages and certainly hits hard enough, early days yet and Stephen Smith for me is the best boxer of the 4 brothers - he has some lovely moves and deceptive power.
