Copper Box RBR
Copper Box RBR
Mitchell Smith beats Scott Moises, 96-95, good fight, but poorly scored by Marcus McDonnell, Smith won more comfortably than that.

This Chudinov looks a bit rigid and robotic and slow on his feet to me. Maybe Im just being harsh though, I dont know.

Re: Copper Box RBR
Yes columbo he's pants.
Re: Copper Box RBR
No, you're right, this is the 3rd time I've seen and he's always looked like that, has got heavy hands but throws every punch at full power. But, the first time I saw him was in May and I have noticed improvements, he's moving his head more and as I type this he's mixing up the power in the punches, light shots upstairs followed a couple of big ones to the body.columbo wrote:This Chudinov looks a bit rigid and robotic and slow on his feet to me. He looks like he'd be physically strong and maybe have a bit of a dig on him but he's certainly not the most athletic guy ive ever seen.expe wrote:No, you're right, this is the 3rd time I've seen and he's always looked like that, has got heavy hands but throws every punch at full power. Can see why Buglioni and Kean are on late, sold 800 and 700 tickets respectively
Re: Copper Box RBR
How the hell do you even build a fan base like that when you're unknown pretty much?!expe wrote:Can see why Buglioni and Kean are on late, sold 800 and 700 tickets respectively
Re: Copper Box RBR
No idea, selling 700 tickets for your debut is impressive, only fighters I know of that have done more are Frankie Gavin and Tom Stalker, who both did around 1,000.columbo wrote:How the hell do you even build a fan base like that when you're unknown pretty much?!expe wrote:Can see why Buglioni and Kean are on late, sold 800 and 700 tickets respectively
Re: Copper Box RBR
Very good going. Expect those two to 'get looked after'.expe wrote:Can see why Buglioni and Kean are on late, sold 800 and 700 tickets respectively
How's Frankie's fight going to pan out tonight? I was close to Smith/Barnes for a while years back so I want to see him do himself justice, but Frankie is a special talent.

Re: Copper Box RBR
Hopefully the allegedly show will get going soon. Some good wee fights so far but the atmosphere is a bit flat at the mo. That Chudinov is dire, why do they show him?
Re: Copper Box RBR
I think Frankie wins easily, Barnes has had trouble with journeymen in his last couple and Gavin has been superb since he moved back to Birmingham.Aden wrote:Very good going. Re: Copper Box RBR
Frankie still looks a little fleshy to me. Not sure if he could ever be "ripped".

Re: Copper Box RBR
Not sure Rawling's memory is serving him too well there if he thought Barnes boxed well against Jimmy Vincent back in 2003. From what I recall Vincent was jobbed that night and big calls followed for three judges rather than a single scoring referee.
Rawling was right that Barnes looked class the night he dismantled James Hare though

Re: Copper Box RBR
Feels watching this card with Dean Powell not being there.
Re: Copper Box RBR
Barnes looks happy just to thrustrate gavin
Re: Copper Box RBR
I've turned over to Ochieng-Smith
Erick a class above.
Re: Copper Box RBR
2-1 to Frankie. Barnes did enough to win the 3rd.
Re: Copper Box RBR
Barnes confidence is up now he's enjoying the pace looks quick still might make it intresting if he's got the fitness rd 3 so far
Re: Copper Box RBR
2-2. Close round but I think Dave edged it.
Re: Copper Box RBR
Barnes looking more composed &
Re: Copper Box RBR
3-2 to Frankie. Put a couple of decent little bursts in there. Also old-manned Barnes, who went to touch gloves after a ticking off from the ref only to get a left had on the button from Frankie.
