Re: Blackwell vs Burzak Spoiler
I saw it. Nick was very game but I had Max by 2 in a very close contest. Thought it was all over in round 4 and Max held on for dear life to get through. Nick needs to be busier and not let his opponent outwork him on the inside where Max was busier connecting with the uppercut. Gutted for Nick as he really is a top chap.
Re: Blackwell vs Burzak Spoiler
I agree he could have been busier and always the danger of a close decision going Max way however ( and I did watch it on a dodgy stream) It looked to me like he deserved that and if you looked at the corner and max body language at the end they didn't even seem sure.

Re: Blackwell vs Burzak Spoiler
Max looked battered mate and as you rightly point out at the end he was hung over the ropes and looked totally spent but I think it was due more to the effort he had to put in. I desperately wanted Nick to win but it was again a frustrating performance from him when all it may have took was a little more work inside. Easy to say from here though.

Totally unrelated to this fight but I found this video pretty funny.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0chvQ7rZ3Kg
Re: Blackwell vs Burzak Spoiler
I think its a little bit of inexperience as he often covers up as if to prove a point that he can take a shot, When he boxed he looked in control but as you say its easy when you aint taking the shots.
Ha Ha I saw that clip a while back brotherly love blackwell style

They seem a down to earth family to be fair! I hope to catch the fight on youtube or something!80/20 wrote:I think its a little bit of inexperience as he often covers up as if to prove a point that he can take a shot, When he boxed he looked in control but as you say its easy when you aint taking the shots.

Re: Blackwell vs Burzak Spoiler
Im sure it will be, I would like to see it again maybe I was a bit biased as I had him in a 9 fight accumulator with almost £600 due back for a £10 and besides that result its looking like it couldve come in only need saunders and matthews then I will be

Had Blackwell up by 7-5 and when you factor in kd he definitely appears unlucky.
Still, not a robbery though as many rounds were close. What was frustrating was NB's work rate as
he appeared a class above Burzak at times but drifted on occasion.

Watched the fight big respect to Nick Blackwell as usual. Personally had him just edging it but they were very close rounds.
I would have no issues putting either BJS or Ryder in with Bursak now providing they can get him to the UK.

Re: Blackwell vs Burzak Spoiler
It will be interesting to see and both Bunny and The hearns have the cash/backing to make that happen
I think what gets overlooked with Blackwell is the fact that he had no am experience and is a novice that is learning his trade and taking chances as they come I would assume this is due to him being with a small promoter and set up with little funding/sponsorship so will it be as easy as you may think ? I think Blackwell is underated and with another promotor would be in a very different position
And that is by no means a knock on PJ Rawson as I think he has done a fantastic job to get him what he has so far however without tv it must surley be a battle.
