You're right but there are lots of senior ABA champs with much smaller followings than Mitchell. You build a local following as an amateur and expand it as a pro. Buglioni and Paul Butler will always be looked after due to their ticket-selling ability.

They have sold tickets, it's very close to sold out at around 9,000, Buglioni and Kean sold 1,500 between them though.

Poor promoting and relying on ticket sellers...when will Warren learn that this doesn't work in this day and age...

The big match ups SHOULD have been good enough to tell sell tickets...he could have kept Kean's debut for his next show...

I'd say 7,500 or so between the rest is pretty good and why wait for the next show to get Kean out? Ticket sellers are the way to go, people won't buy tickets at the box office unless it's a big fight.

"Ticket sellers" aren't the way to go, especially not when they are all in London. Warren has frozen out most of the country with shows that are predominantly "London centric", other than Murray and Butler was anyone notable on the show above Birmingham?

People should be buying tickets on the "promotion" of the event, especially when you pay for a fight like the main event here but yet you depend on 2 or 3 local "stars". That to me says the promoter couldn't sell shit to a gardener looking for some fertiliser.

Warren's "ticket seller" logic has been failing and failing yet he can't see that fans are sick of fighter v victim mentality that we get.

Sorry but there is a reason Hearn has fans despite his mismatches.

People won't buy tickets, at least in part, due to the fact no one, other than hardboxingfans, even know their is a show. Theirs not crossover appeal, no real attempts to get the guys know outside of boxing circles etc.

A "decent card" should have 3 bouts, this hard 4, so he could have saved 1 of those. He (Warren) gets criticised for lots of reasons, for a guy who has been in the sport so long to seemingly have very little clue about transport, a decent card or what makes a good show is a mystery...

The fact Buglioni and Keane sold a 17% of the tickets should really, really shame Warren, instead he sees it as his business model.

Apart from being popular guys with lots of friends, they put themselves out there - promoting their upcoming fights via local shops, pubs, businesses etc. Networking although they almost certainly wouldn't call it that. Utilising social media to broaden their reach. And having a fan-friendly style obviously helps.
