It was a fair call, very close, good fight and they will likely fight again in the future.

116-114 Saunders.

Ryder needed to really jump on Saunders the last 3 rds easier said then done.

Good fight I enjoyed it

115-113 Saunders

Saunders just did enough to nick enough rounds, and he knew it by the end I think. Ryder had the power advantage, Saunders the speed and footwork.

I think Ryder is the one who probably emerges with the most credit as we all know Saunders is decent, Ryder stepped up to that level and looked comfortable so no shame in a close loss to a talented kid.

I feel if Ryder could have just maybe thrown it all in a bit sooner i.e. Round 9 onwards, then he'd have nicked it, obviously that's if and buts really but I was just willinghim to let those hands go as he seemed to rock BJS every time he connected.

As for BJS, I'm not sure how far he can go now, I can't see world titles being won with that style of hit and run, he seemed to get really shook by Ryder's power so what will he be like at World level? He reminds me of Khan in many ways the way he fights and I think at world level we might see a few Khan-style KOs of him. Very telented, but just lacking enough power to go through the levels.
