Yes it is, has he been hit back yet? :)
Patrick Mendy was supposed to, but we saw how that ended.

Come on Jack - is Mendy the gatekeeper to greatness  Smith looks very good, is used to sparring with better people than he is boxing and looks huge at the weight. There are plenty of boxers who'd give him plenty to think about and a few of them have got good power and timing theirselves. He no doubt will go to be a very decent operator and mix in high class - there aren't all that many greats though :TU:

Smith seems real!

As for Paul Smith, he is not World Class at all so he is vacating to win what?
Vacating so his lil bro doesn't kick his head in.
I was watching the sky show after recording it and I have to admit that I found it slightly funny when Smith said he's paid his dues and that he deserves a world title fight. On the back of what?! Losing to relatively novice pro's and still unproven fighters in Degale and Groves?! Haha.

Dont buy that but fair enough :TU:

Ben Carey wrote:Crikey, calm down. Impressive from Smith but the stoppage was a tad premature for a title fight by Victor Loughlin. Mendy was on rubbery legs and woozy but he was trying to tie Callum up. The thing that most impressed me about Smith was his composure and his strength as he really bullied Mendy in there.

A good prospect for sure but I'm not getting carried away about Smith being handed a premature stoppage over a fighter who has always flattered to deceive, irrespective of his Prizefighter triumph.
