........who had Liam Smith drawing 114-114 with Erick Ochieng?
Honestly after 7 rounds i had Ochieng 6-1 up,luckily(i thought) Smith won the last 5 on my card but i knew he would get the decision because his rounds were more decisive than Ericks plus judging by the commentary i was watching a different fight, they were praising Liams workrate first half of fight when all he seemed to be doing was walking forward staying in the pocket and not throwing and Ochieng got no credit for his work i thought
In saying that although i had it a draw,im glad it was Smith that won as he did seem to want it more,i just thought the general concensus that Smith walked it was way off the mark
Any of you have it closer than the judges

You had Eric up by six rounds 1 even by 7, so if smith won the next five he'd still lose!! Yet you scored it a draw??handsofstone wrote:........who had Liam Smith drawing 114-114 with Erick Ochieng?

Cheers jessi
There wasnt much in it TBH its just that i liked Ochiengs busier workrate and the rounds were simalar(smith on front foot/ochieng countering) so wasnt just gonna give Smith a round at that point coz i gave Ochieng the last 1,i just stuck with what i preffered

I didn't have it that close but I had it 115-113 Smith. Commentary was so one sided it was awful. When will Jim Watt retire?

Re: Am i the only one........
the commentary was a joke and so was the build up..all about smith....ochieng is by far the most skilfull of the two and imo lost because he couldnt sustain a decent pace over 12. smith just plodded ahead in straight lines and erick just let him tee off whilst he sat on the ropes.yep some of smiths shots were missing but when in your oppos back yard u cant do what he did.
Re: Am i the only one........
Ochieng is skillful but is mostly defence and counter; he isn't assertive enough to get a points win over a straightforward, constant pressure fighter - he has some lovely moves though.
