People suggesting haye is a self harmer!!

Post by hurlock »

There seems to be alot of people thinking he's done it to avoid fury losing a massive purse!!
I'm not a haye fan but I think that is pretty ludicrous.

However it is funny no interviews from sparring partners have been made or all this footage that's been recorded to show how well things have been going in sparring aint been shown I think fans deserve to see it to help them understand stuff happens.

Yeah I saw it & it was a high light reel of all his success & was still getting caught in it.
Surely he must have a cam set up constant in there???

Be nice to know what partner did it???

I blame George groves

They said it was some BIG Croat that caused the cut, but I can't remember his name and I might have the nationality wrong

i went in a cafe today and and the waiter knows i like my boxing and he started talking about the haye cut and saying haye did it to get out the fight .
i explained that haye had to pay off mariusz wach step aside money to make the fight then bringing over wilder wouldn't be cheap plus he's lost a £5,000,000 pay day against a guy he should beat and his reply " he botttled it"

some people just don't like haye.

It's crazy. David Haye has fought Wladimir Klitschko and he's supposed to be scared of Tyson Fury?

Haye isn't the type of guy who'd ever "bottle" a fight. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter who thrives so much on fight night. I wouldn't put it past anybody to withdraw from a fight for financial reasons, but on this occasion that would make no sense whatsoever.

Mick Hennessy seems to reckon Haye might not have been wearing a headguard based on the whereabouts of the cut :??

It would go a long way to explain why footage of the incident wasnt released pronto, especially to calm down Fury and the fans etc

People in my office think he did it himself. Not boxing people. General public.

I try and give people the benefit of the doubt, but you would have to be an utter moron to think Haye bottled it.

The idea that he cut himself to get out of a £5m payday against an opponent he's favourite against is fornicating hilarious. It's nice to know that while the world gets harder and harder to get ahead in, at least the competition is mostly people with the critical faculties of a bag of rocks

Paying step aside money to a guy you were never contracted to fight in the first place is stupid. No wonder boxers end up broke

It's not just general public that smell something fishy though ...

Former World Champ Riddick Bowe tweeted as much last night, as did Billy Joe Saunders.

Jeff Powell has just written a highly sceptical article too.

I think people knowing boxing know that Haye wouldn't be afraid.

But there is definitely the chance that:

- he bought himself some time so that he can see the outcome of the Wlad vs Povetkin fight and take on Povetkin if he shocks the world.

- he felt he wasn't where he should be in training and needed more time. TBF if you look at photos of him from the weigh in with Chisora and how he looked in the media workout late last week ... Haye looked in the worst shape he has ever been in as a heayweight. And there were strong rumours he was intially very rusty in sparring [Wilder is quoted as saying this in an iFilm interview last Saturday] and had been dropped by Wilder and Towers.

It would be naiive to think that Booth wouldn't seek a way to postpone through skullduggery at the 11th hour.

Why would it be a cut though? Peter Fury seemed to hint that that would be the only acceptable excuse and a visible one for the public to see too.

It does seem to have backfired if it is the case though, as people I have never heard talk about boxing were discussing this yesterday at work and all suspected foulplay from Haye and Booth.

So regardless of the truth, it has seriously damaged his reputation with the wider public. Who are the people who buy his fitness DVDs, books, magazines and vote form him on I'm A Celebrity and Dancing On Ice.

.

I'm pretty sure Wilder said Haye was looking good in the gym. :shame:

Also, the source about Haye getting dropped? Again Wilder denied this in the interview.

People who think hate did this cut to himself frankly need some help for their paranoia. Hate may be a lot of hot air, he may have elements of his mate fraudley in his handpicking foes and talking than failing to back it up but I don't think he cut himself and as much as I like Tyson who is a brilliant talker who backs it up I think the postponement will give tyson vital time to improve

You could be right Mugabi. But one things for sure Tyson will be gaining more fans & haye is becoming increasingly unpopular .
I don't think haye is in love with boxing its all about money to him.when he talked it up about retiring I knew that was rubbish. He was just pushing for a klit fight & if batterd he'd of quit & if he'd won I'm sure he wouldn't of quit as a triple belt holder

Haye just wants the cash. Always was about the money.

He is losing fans.

He was never going to lose the payday. But the cut gives more time to prepare.

I heard he once left his PE kit at home just to get out of football because it was raining. Luckily the teacher was wise to him and made him play barefoot and in his pants... You'd think he'd have learned his lesson.
